"Welcome my friends" José smiled as he stood up at the head of the round table. The crew was there, waiting for their next mission. "I'm proud to say, you all did an amazing job with finding Andrew. I have my money, he's dead. I couldn't be happier. Now since you all did so well, I have a new mission. This one should be a bit harder, but I'm sure you all can handle it" José reached under the table and pulled out a folder of work and slid it to Karma. "Alright, his name is Mike. He's 20, and has been dealing since 13. His mom and dad live in Texas, and that's his last known address. He doesn't have any known friends and he works alone" Karma said "That's it?" "Yes, I'm sorry but I couldn't find much. He's been stealing my drugs from me. I'm sure there all gone, and so is the money. So find him, and kill him" "We got this José" Slim smiled. "Is there a deadline?" Dion asked. "No, just make sure its done. Will Ed be joining you all?" José asked. "No, I think we're fine. We can handle this alone" Ash said. The crew left José's house and immediately caught the jet to Texas. As always, Karma and Kacy shared a room. Slim and Dion shared a room but this time, Kat got her own room while Morgan and Ash shared a room. Kacy sat on the couch in the living room of the hotel room, thinking to himself while Karma was in the room on the phone with her dad. "Its just awkward now daddy. We barley talk anymore. Its more of us just staring then looking away" "You two need to have a seat and talk things out. Karma, you're 19 now. An adult. I'm not saying don't call me for advice, cause you always can. What I'm saying is, talk to him" "We've done that daddy. And we don't even yell at each other. We talk calmly, but things still aren't right" Karma mumbled "I don't even know what to do anymore " "So you guys have the communication down but you just need understanding. Sit down with this man that I have yet to meet, and understand what he's saying" Karma giggled "I promise when we get back, we will all go out and have dinner together." "Good but anyway, look at things from his side ok?" "Alright, I'll do that" "I mean it Karma. When you get off this phone, talk to him" her dad said sternly. "I will" "I'm serious Karma. Soon as we hang up" "Ok daddy, love you" "Love you too baby girl" Karma hung up the phone and soon as she sat up, Kacy walked in. He looked her way, but didn't say anything. "Kacy, come here please" she said, watching his every move. He walked over to her and sat on the bed "Wassup" She sighed "I want to apologize. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable or make you feel pressured about anything. I honestly didn't even mean to say I love you cause I knew this would happen. But it slipped out. I'm kinda glad it did, cause now you know. I do love you, and I'm falling in love with you." Kacy shifted on the bed, giving Karma his full attention. "I love the way you make me smile when I'm upset. I love the way you hold me. I love the way u annoy me by asking a million questions" she giggled "I love how protective you are over me. I love the way you take care of me, even when you threaten me too. I love every little thing about you, even your flaws. I can't help it" she shrugged "You're perfect to me" Kacy sighed and reached for Karma. She climbed closer to him and he held her hand, looking down at it "First, ain't no reason fa' you ta' apologize iight? Ya didn't do nothin wrong. I can admit I felt a lil uncomfortable when you said it, but I knew you meant that s**t. But its just gonna take some time fa' me ta' say it back" he looked up at as her tears fell "I'm sorry" "Its cool" she shrugged him off and walked into the bathroom. She turned the shower on and quickly undressed before stepping in and letting the water hit her head. She sat in the corner of the shower and cried. She cried because she put her heart out there for him to see. Expressed herself in a way she's never done before, and he shot her down. Karma thought if she were to explain everything, he'd understand and say it back. But he didn't. He didn't love her the way she loved him and Karmas mind kept telling her he never will. Kacy sat on the hotel bed, listening to Karma cry her eyes out in the shower. He sighed and laid back on the bed. He did love Karma, more than she knew. But he couldn't tell her that. That would open himself to her a little too much for Kacy's liking. Saying I love you to Karma, would give her the power to hurt him in the simplest ways. Karmas a beautiful girl, and men naturally flock to her. Kacy, being a man that claims what's his, would easily get jealous. Again, opening himself up a little more. Something he just wasn't ready for. Or he thought. ***** "Ok, before we do anything. We obviously need to find Mike." Karma started plainly. Since three days ago, she hasn't been herself. The whole love thing with Kacy is taking a toll on them both. Hard. "I did some research and I couldn't find anything on him. So I thought maybe he changed his identity to go under the radar. So I hacked into the FBI system, and looked for anyone with the same history as Mike" "You mean his childhood history?" Dion asked. Karma nodded "I came up with two people who matched it. So what I did was look at the last recent picture of Mike and the one that stood out to the same appreance is a Nick Anderson. He lives in the western Texas area, has a husband and an adopted dog. Basically started a whole new life, but still selling José's stuff" "What do y'all say about paying Mr.Nick a visit?" Morgan asked. Everyone agreed and were soon driving out to the address. The back of the van was quiet while Kat sat up front and drove. Karma looked down at her hands, sitting between Dion and Slim while Kacy watched her, sitting beside Morgan. "Wassup with you and K?" Morgan asked, nudging Kacy. "She look like a lost puppy" "She said she loved me, and I ain't say it back" Kacy mumbled. "You do love her though. Steve Wonder can see that s**t" Morgan chuckled. "I know that s**t nigga." He shook his head "But I can't tell her that" "Stop being p***y. Everyone and they momma know Karma ain't gon take advantage of you or hurt you. You puttin her though s**t, that she don't need to be put through" The van stopped in front of a family home and the guys hopped out the van, leaving Karma and Kacy alone. "Be safe" She mumbled, turning to her laptop. *********** Karma passed Kacy his plate, then Dion then everyone else. She then passed out the drinks and took a seat beside Dion and Slim. "This is good Karma" Morgan said, shoving the food down his throat "Your food always make me sh-" "Aye nigga" Slim stopped him "Nasty ass" "So, Karma. You want to come chill at my house when we done here?" Ash asked. Karma nodded while playing with her food. Feeling nauseas, she quickly stood up from her seat and rushed to the bathroom where she emptied her stomach. She gagged and gagged, until nothing was left. Her hair was pulled back and someone started patting her back. Karma sat up against the side of the tub, as Kacy started wiping her mouth with a wet cloth. She stopped him and did it herself. "Ya ok?" He asked, standing up and taking a step back. "I'm fine, Kacy" she mumbled, standing up and going to wash her face. When she finished, she looked up at herself through the mirror to find Kacy staring at her. She looked away and walked back downstairs "You ready to go Ash?" Karma asked. Ash nodded and the girls walked out the door, while Kat followed. "What'd you do to her?" Dion asked when Kacy sat at the table. "I ain't never seen her so upset. She won't even talk to me about it" "I ain't say I love her back" Kacy sighed "and this s**t is stressing" he shook his head and stood up. "f**k this man"
