Veronica didn't know how long she slept but she got woke up when a rat came in her direction. She yelled in fear and stopped screaming when she heard a man chuckle at her.
She paused for a moment and checked who it was. She gasped when she saw an unfamiliar man, who was standing behind her. It seemed the man had the same age as Jaxon based on his body build.
“Who are you?” She asked and stepped back. She felt worried that the man might hurt her. She gulped when the man laughed so loudly.
The man stepped forward, while there was a grin on his lips. He pursed his lips and tried to intimidate her again.
“Don't come near me! s**t!” She cursed so loudly as she took the stick that was nearer to her. The man shook his head and chuckled.
“Did you think that you can kill me using that thing?”
