CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

“I don’t care about the people around you, for my goal isn’t them, but my revenge.” Lena coldly said.

“Then, don’t come out anymore, Raffy was gone and so as his men.” She stated.

“Don’t dictate me, I will do what I wanted.” Lena replied.

“Then, I will stopped you from coming out “ She said.

Lena just chuckle a bit and disappeared, leaving in the darkness again.

Elena gasped as she woke up from her dream where she was able to converse with Lena. She sat on her bed only to find her drench in her own sweat and when she touch her heart she can feel her heart beating rigidly like she ran into a marathon.

A knocked on the door made her almost jump, startled. Her phone started to ring and saw Ian’s number register in it.

“Hello?” She said, as she pick up the call.

“Sorry Miss did I disturb you? I have hear the file that you asked to Mr. Vaughn.” Ian said.

Shaking her head even Ian can’t see her, she answered, “No, Its okay, but can you please take that file here in my room?”

“I’m already at the door, Miss. I am coming in.” Ian informed.

Elena saw her door opened revealing Ian carrying the brown envelop in his hands,  as he ended the call and put his phone in his suit and approach her.

“Is that those?” she asked.

Ian nod as a response and handed her the envelope.

“Mr. Vaughn gave that to me before you got discharged from the hospital, and told me to give this to you after you rested.” Ian said.

“Thanks.” She replied after she got the envelope.

“I will leave alone now, but you can call me anytime if you need anything. I will just be at the lobby.” He informed.

Elena just nod as a response to him, before he left Elena alone who was now opening the envelope to inspect the papers inside.

She check the profiles that indicate in the papers, her eye got teary as she saw Candice and Sanya’s face and three more girls familiar faces that was attending the same school with her. She remembered that those three girls was with Sanya when they took her to the abandoned building.

And the last one profile was made her tremble in shocked. It was the picture of Leonel whom suddenly disappeared. No! No! This isn’t right, what I am seeing right now isn’t true right? She thought, as she tried dig everything that happened the last she saw Leonel in her house for she can’t remember anything after she collapsed.

As she dig her memories, she suddenly saw a glimpse of her taking placing a blood bathing body on the drum in the woods, and throw a lighter on it after. She still as the memory passed by in a glimpsed.

Elena don’t know what she will feel as she realize that she’s the one who killed her very first friend. It may be her alter personality who did the killing but, it was still her. Her face, her body for they are one, she and Lena are one.

Seeing the papers infront of her, Lena had killed a lot and these people was killed because they did something bad to her, some of them also has something to do about her parents death, but she didn’t like it. Lena’s way of revenge was way to much horrible, and evil.

She don’t know how Mr. Vaughn was able to collect these information, but it helps her to be more aware of Lena’s doing, and now she must stop Lena with all her might not for her to come out and took lives. She knows it will be hard but she will still do it.

Three months had passed, Elena was now able to adjust her life in the penthouse, though there still time that she find herself crying because she misses her Aunt Elle too much, but she can’t still bring herself to contact her, because Raffy might still out there and she don’t want to risked her Aunt Elle’s life again.

Though she had always someone to look after Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte just incase Raffy suddenly showed up, and from these years she was able to be more comfortable to Mr. Vaughn whom she now call Grandpa, and Ian is still her guard, whom now also her friend.

Ian also know mow about Lena, her alter personality whom he fight with Raffy’s men. He also told her stories how he first time he felt horror by Lena that he didn’t felt for a long time ever since he became a body guard, far too much to her that was so gentle and kind.

“Elena, your adviser is here.” Ian informed as he saw her at the kitchen.

Elena was busy baking and she didn’t able to notice the time, if Ian didn’t showed up, she probably completely forgotten about her class.

“Uhm, okay. I will just fix myself and meet Mrs. Valle.” She replied.

She finish first  the last touch she needed to do on the cake that she baked, boxing it and put inside the fridge before taking her leave to the kitchen.

She also had transfer to all girls school, but she didn’t attending classes there regularly that’s why her adviser is here again.

She is half home school. Her grandpa suggested it, for her to meet other people from time to time for her not to be excluded nor isolated to the people outside. Though she don’t want that but, she can’t defy her grandpa.

The students in her new school are much worst than the students in her previous school. The school was full of bunch of brats, but thankfully because of her state now as a heiress of MC and her grandpa was the one of the board member at the school, the students there wasn’t able to touch or pick up on her.

She took ten minutes to get herself ready and went to the study room where Ian told her that her adviser will wait for her.

“Good morning Ms. Valle, sorry I came late.” She apologized.

“Its fine Elena, so shall we start?” Her adviser asked smiling.

The class went well. She wrapping her things up when Ms. Valle spoke, “Elena, you have been the top of the class ever since you transferred.”

“Aren’t you not interested in academic competition.” Ms. Valle asked, “those competition will help you more in your academic grades.”

Elena wanted it, for a very long time she always wanted to go to the contest for academics but her confidence doesn’t want to cooperate with her, so she always ending up not to join.

The fact that she is the school outcast in her previous school also made her worried, for everytime she will the most higher grade, she will be bullied more.

“I-I’m don’t like it.” She lied.

“Its okay, though I would really like I will see you join.” Her adviser said.

“Just tell me if you will change your mind okay?” Elena nod at Ms. Valle’s said.

Elena let Ian to send Ms. Valle home after her home class, and went to her room to fix something.

Today is her birthday, yet she doesn’t feel any excitement. Some of her colleagues, family has already came to her house, but she still looking at the window from time to time, expecting to see the person she wants to see badly.

“You have staring outside this whole day, are you still expecting that Elena will come?” Dr. Monte asked who is standing behind Ms. Estrella’s.

 “Uhm.” Ms. Estrella responded.

After she finding that Elena is no longer at the hospital, Ms. Estrella insisted to find Elena herself for she know that Elena might just be distancing to them out of guilt that they thought they already settled with Elena before.

And now everyday she is hoping that one day Elena will show up at her door or even on her hospital room. But after months she became weary waiting for Elena, and now its her birthday she wished to see her badly, it will be enough for her to see the lad, well, healthy and happy wherever Elena is staying right now.

Its 11:58pm and she already alone inside her house. Her heart is dropped in sadness as she saw that there is only two minutes left until her birthday will end, yet Elena didn’t even showed up. That kid she didn’t even showed up even for a minute, she thought.

A knocked disturbed her  thoughts making her flinch, and hurriedly come to the door. Who might that be? She wondered for the night is already late.

“Who is it?” She shouted as she came near to the door.

“Aunt Elle.” The voice said.

She immediately recognize Elena’s voice, that made her chest filed with happiness, for she really thought she wouldn’t see Elena again, or even not going to her birthday.

Hurriedly, she opened the door and there, she saw Elena with a young man in black suit behind her while Elena is wearing black hoodie.

“Y-You came!” She uttered with a smile as she felt a tear is starting to build up om her eyes.

“Of course, its your birthday.” Elena said, “Happy birthday Aunt Elle!”

With the final second of her birthday, the person she badly wants to see really came to greet her, and that thing is the most beautiful gift she had ever received today.

As soon as Elena and Ian came in, Elena and Ms. Estrella embraced each other tightly, as they both misses each other and they put it in their hugs.

“Where have you been? Don’t you know how worried I am when I find out that you were gone?!” Ms. Estrella said full of hatred yet worriedness.

Elena just let Ms. Estrella to say anything she needed to say and accepted it with all of her heart.

She don’t really have a plan to show up, but her body doesn’t want to cooperate with her brain and drag Ian to accompany her, and now there she is, finding herself hugging her Aunt Elle that she missed so much.

Its been a long time since she heard her Aunt Elle, lecturing her but what she fully regret now is to see an extreme worriedness in her Aunt’s eyes and its also tired.

Then she now notice how much her Aunt Elle got very thin after the three months she haven’t see her.

“Are you okay? Are not hurt? Where are you staying?” Her Aunt Elle simultaneously asked.

Elena didn’t answer and motioned her Aunt to the living room, that her Ms. Estrella let.

As they seated, Elena faced her Aunt, “I am good, and well, grandpa had taken care of me so well.”

“I’m sorry to make you worried about me so much. I just need to do that.” She said.

“Raffy is hasn’t found yet, so I decided to distance myself to you, because I don’t want to see your life endangered again because of me.” She confessed to her Aunt Elle.
