CHAPTER FORTY NINE

Ian stayed at Elena’s house for the night, still hoping Elena would show up, but be left at dawn when he receive a call where his one of his subordinates told him the place where Elena had been spotted.

On the other hand Elena woke up when she felt movement downstairs, she didn’t notice that she had drift of to sleep again after crying quietly the whole night.

She thought that it was still Ian who was downstairs but she saw a mid age lady, cleaning her room when she peek at the hole on the floor she is still laying. Her brows knotted in confusion on what the lady is doing and how did she get in her house and clean it.

On the middle of the lady cleaning her phone rang that made her halt to take her phone out of her pocket.

“Good Morning Ma’am. Yes, I think she went here, Ma’am Elena’s bed has been used. Ah, Is that so? Yeah, don’t worry Ma’am I will inform you once she get back here again.” The lady said, to the person she I talking on the other line.

“Yes, Ma’am Elle… Your welcome.” The lady said before ending the call and continue cleaning.

Then, Elena remembered that this is the day that her Aunt Elle told her the day that her house cleaner will arrive that made Elena bite her lips.

“I guess I will be staying here until the cleaner leave.” She mumble with sigh.

Raffy is busy negotiating with an old man who is buying drugs on him, when his men entered the room and whispered something to him that made him smirk, and eventually roared into laughter that made his old man buyer, smile.

“You look happy Mr. Mirabello, care to share?” The old man commented and asked, that earn a laugh again from Raffy.

“I didn’t know your quite nosy Mr. Severino.” Raffy said chuckling.

“Well, I am, so don’t be stubborn old man and sign that freaking papers and let’s end this negotiation without breaking my good mood.” Raffy said urging Mr. Severino to sign the papers.

The old man smirked and shake his head because he was entertained on how hot tempered Raffy, and he lean to sign the papers infront of him, before he signaled his men to bring the attaché case that contains money in it, and place it to the table infront of him, that Raffy did as well and place the another attaché case that made the old man’s grin wide.

After checking the money and drugs, both men stood up and shake each other’s hand, while smiling wide.

“Its really great to negotiate with you, and I like your temper, just like what other said, its fascinating.” Mr. Severino commented.

“Likewise Mr. Severino, likewise.” Raffy replied with a wide smile.

After Mr. Severino left his office, Raffy let himself to fall into the couch, and laugh when he heard a continuous gunshots outside.

“Do you really thought you can fool me old man? Well your wrong.” He said grinning from ear to ear.

And kick the attaché case infront of him that made it fall, and scattered the money on the floor. That man didn’t know that he is full aware of his scheme about setting a trap to him to be arrested.

Little that man know, he has a spy on the police department of their city, that’s why he that the man is an undercover to capture him, but too bad he knew their move already.

His gaze turn to the door when, someone knock there. He didn’t say anything and just let whoever he is to enter.

“How is it?” He asked as one of his men entered his office.

“Their all dead sir,” the man reported. “What are we going to now with their bodies?”

“Dumped those skunks body infront of their houses.” He commanded and shoed the man with his hand.

After the man left, another one of his men entered his office without knocking that made him pissed.

“Make sure that your reason of not knocking before entering here will be worth it, or else I will shoot you in your head!” He dangerously said for he never like someone to just barge in his office without notice, It’ll only just make him pissed.

The man nod, and apologize to him first before saying what is the reason why is he there in such a rush.

“I had an information from the other side that the lady you are looking for has escape.” The  man reported, “and now their in the middle of searching.”

“Great job, now go and continue collecting information from Vaughn’s side.” He commanded.

The man left leaving him a smirk in his lips as his eyes glittered in entertainement.

“So the brat has escape huh? Interesting.” Raffy uttered.

Now that the brat has escape, this will be his chance to get the girl who started everything, that made his life totally miserable.

“Wait for me brat, your loving uncle will going to find you.” He uttered with smirked.

Elena spend half of the day time in the attic until the lady left, before she was able to get down. She was wet because of too much heat on the attic and decide to take a bath.

Elena decided to get dressed by disguise as a man, to prevent her to be found. Luckily she have a collection in her wardrobe of boy’s clothes, for she really like boy’s fashion.

She wore a large while shirt and a large denim jacket, that she used as a pair for her white shirt, a black man’s jeans that is just suited by her height, a white addidas snickers and a black baseball cap, that she used to hide her mid length blonde hair.

After getting dressed, she look at the life-size mirror inside her room and checked her appearance. A satisfied smile crept to her lips as she at her self through the mirror.

“Now, I look like a man.” She uttered in satisfaction.

She was just thankful that she can hide her chest really well into the thin denim jacket. She is now look like a teenage boy who still have the small a face.

Elena, get her used dressed and took it in the attic, to prevent it to be found just in case before discreetly left her house, trying to act like a boy.

Little did she know a pair of eye’s is eyeing her while smirking, inside the car.

“Found you!” the person who is watching Elena said.

Elena felt more secure that she is now in disguise, and she even wanted to smile to those girls who is greeting her as she passed by on the busy street.

“Hi, cutie!” the other girl said as he passed by on the pavement.

Elena just smile shyly and nod as a greet back before she passed to them, she even heard the girl squalled. She stopped on the fast food first to eat, and also to think where she will going to start her main reason why she escaped.

She must find Raffy first, but how? She don’t even know where she will going to find him. She thought.

Then a memories of their family house where Dana had came to save entered her mind. That’s it maybe she can find him there! She thought.

Luckily she once saw a letter that was sent to from their house to her grandpa a long time ago. The letter was sent by her father to her grandpa before that night that change everything happened. It has their old house address their that she remembered, when her grandpa gave her the letter.

That letter had already read by Lena as well, and was told to keep it for me to read. That’s what her grandpa told her, when he thought Lena isn’t my created personality.

After she finish her food, Elena didn’t waste any time and went to the said village where their old family house is located. She decided to get down at the gate for some reason, that she herself didn’t know and decided to just walked through the village streets on her way to their house.

The sky is had already shaded by orange and red, that indicates that the daytime will end soon, when she arrive infront of their house gate.

She peek to the gate see the house, but the house doesn’t have any indication that theirs a person inside, for it looks like completely abandoned.

She suddenly felt a thud of sadness after seeing their abandoned house and as well where her parent had been killed. Elena turn her back on the gate, when she realize that she might not be able to find Raffy their.

Now, she didn’t know where to find him. She thought she could find him today and end what Raffy wanted to end everything but she was wrong.

She left the village, without any choice, and rode on the bus. On her way home, while riding on the bus she saw a family happily walking together on the street when the bus stop because of the traffic light. She smile sadly on the sight that she is seeing, and she felt envy while watching the family.

She misses her Aunt Elle, Grandpa, Dr. Monte, Ian and his grandpa’s men that had been closed to her as well, even her deceased foster and biological parents whom she forgotten, and only know by her dreams and his grandpa’s stories.

What can’t she have a happy family like others had? A family who isn’t endanger so she didn’t need to choose to do what she need to do just to keep them from Raffy. She just wanted a happy family and for her to get cure but she can’t have it unless she will end what she need to end. That’s what the thought that is lingering on her mind until the bus continued to run.

She get down on the nearest convenience store to eat as her dinner, before she decided to head on her house.

While eating, she saw Mike, one of her grandpa’s men roaming around, that made her froze. She thought that Mike will find her for she was just a few steps ahead from him, but Mike just past through her that made her sigh in relief.

She really thought she is doomed, but she remembered that she is in disguise that made Mike unnoticed her, well that was really close, she thought.

After Elena eat, she decided to head at the village that she lives that is just a half kilometer away from the convenience store where she ate, and decided just to walked to also digest the food that she ate faster.

She was just a one meter ahead from the gate’s village when a car, stopped beside her and blocked her way that made her froze.

But when she saw the driver’s seat opened she moved her feet, and was about to run when a strong arms held her, and struggle her from behind.

She was about to scream, when she felt a handkerchief was put on her mouth and nose, and tried to scream again but that’s her mistake, that made her smell the drug on the handkerchief.

“No!” she screamed on her head before everything went black.
