The faint creak of the heavy door startled me awake. My body ached from the cold stone floor I'd eventually collapsed onto after hours of pacing and restless thoughts. Morning light trickled in through a slit near the ceiling, casting pale beams across the damp walls. A maiden entered silently, balancing a tray on her arms. Her eyes were lowered, her expression unreadable. She said nothing as she walked past me, collected the untouched meal from yesterday, and replaced it with a fresh platter of food—steaming porridge, warm bread, and a small jug of water. She also placed a neatly folded dress on the edge of the bed. A simple gown, but clean and elegant. Soft gray linen with delicate embroidery along the hem. I stared at her, hoping for a clue, a name, anything. "Please... where am I?
