Martha was very angry in the office. “Rose auditioned and got the role of supporting female lead! ”
“Supporting female lead? ” Elly frowned. “Wasn’t she just in a small role in a low-budget movie? How could she have time to audition for a main supporting role? ”
“I thought the same thing at first. I found out more about the audition for the lead female role after asking around. The judges were about to leave when they saw Rose by accident. They thought she was perfect for the role and decided on the spot. That’s why you were so careful with her. This Rose is really clever. The auditions were over, but she still managed to convince the judges. Who knows which one she was trying to impress! ”
Martha didn’t say anything more. Rose’s presence was a big threat. It wouldn’t surprise her if one of the judges had fallen for her.
She had planned to train Rose carefully when she signed her. But now, Elly had shown up out of nowhere.
On one side was a new talent with no connections. On the other was a popular actress with an important family. The choice was clear. In the entertainment world, it's not just about looks.
Elly looked down. “Even if it's not the main role, this movie is a big one! ”
Anyone could tell she didn’t want Rose to get this role.
Martha was a bit worried. “I’m afraid there might be some problems this time. The company has invested a lot in this movie. Rose got a call from Martha telling her that she had been cast as the supporting female lead in Land Under Heaven. She needed to start preparing.
The movie Land Under Heaven had a female lead who used good qualities to help the male lead become a ruler. The supporting female lead, on the other hand, used bad methods and made enemies. She ended up being pushed off a cliff by the female lead, making everyone happy.
That’s why Elly was so willing to let her take the role.
Even though Rose got the supporting role, she still had work to do. She had to film another role as a mistress who stole a man’s husband. There was only a five-minute scene today, but she would be hit repeatedly by a crowd of actors.
In reality, filming that five-minute scene took two hours. The actors playing the crowd were not experienced, so their actions didn’t match their expressions. She had to be hit over and over again.
When she got home, she turned on the TV and lay on the sofa, tired.
After a while, she felt like she had forgotten something.
The TV was showing the news, and a familiar figure appeared on the screen.
That very beautiful face, those broad shoulders, narrow hips, long legs, and strong personality—could it be anyone else but little bun’s father, Elly!
Elly seemed to be at a contract signing and shaking hands with some foreign people.
The host was excitedly introducing how Corporation had signed a deal with an Italian brand and was entering the European market. Their stock value could double.
Rose finally remembered. She had forgotten to call little bun!

The Gaus parents had just returned from overseas, and the whole family was having dinner together.
GausCorporation was about to finalise an important contract that had been in the works for three years. Old Master Gaus was very happy and praised Elly highly. He even gave Gerrald some praise.
But the real point came up later.
His words basically meant, Work is important, but your precious grandson is even more important!
Old Master Pius: “Gaus, work is important, but don’t forget about Little Treasure. You’ve finished the busy period of work, so spend more time with Little Treasure! ”
Old Madam Pius: “Find someone to take care of Little Treasure if you really don’t have time. Little Treasure has grown so much; you should also think about your own personal life! ”

Elly just kept eating and didn’t say a word.
Little Treasure was holding a phone without moving a single muscle.
Rose struggled a lot inside herself, unsure if she should make the call. In the end, she dialed the number she had been given.

Little Treasure couldn’t speak and couldn’t answer her. So Rose just talked to herself, trying to think of what to say.
