Finally, Sarah's unease kicked in. She couldn't recall any possibility of James saying anything different or anything better than"When was the last time you were sober? Mary made me drunk...she said," You don't love me either." After all everybody said what Mary said to her. Then things started to add up. Sarah understood that it was Mary who had been playing both of them from the beginning. She had staged the entire scenario to make it appear as if James was the one cheating on her. A surge of anger hit Sarah. Why was Mary being so cruel? She remembered all those moments after the break-up whenever Mary used to pretend to be a good friend being there for her. What a fool she was! Yes, It was pure acting! With her head spinning, Sarah made a decision. She needed to put an end to all this infuriating nonsense and face Mary once and for all. She'd been hoping that today would never come, but now that it had all arched right there, her heart raced when she stood at Mary’s door. "Mary, it is necessary for us, for you and me, to conduct the conversation," Sarah said strongly. Mary answered in the affirmative, opening the door while wearing a self-satisfied expression. "What’s the matter, Sarah?" Back to business, Sarah exhaled. “I know exactly what you did. You put a plan where I and James don’t meet because you created circumstances in which he was a drunken fool, and you were making advances on him... and then I went to you for reasons after suspecting that he had been cheating on me." Mary's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "I don't know what you're talking about." Sarah's eyes narrowed. "Don't lie to me, Mary. I know the truth. You're a manipulative and toxic person, and I want nothing to do with you!" With that, Sarah turned and walked away, leaving Mary standing alone, her secrets exposed. Sarah felt a weight lift off her shoulders as she walked away from Mary's house. She finally knew the truth, and she was determined to make things right with James. She arrived at James's house, her heart racing with excitement. She knocked on the door, and James answered, looking surprised to see her. "Sarah, what's up?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I know the truth," Sarah said, her voice firm. "I know Mary set us up. She made you drunk and pretended to be interested in you, and then she told me you were cheating on me." James's expression changed from surprise to shock. "How did you find out?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "It doesn't matter," Sarah said, her eyes locked on his. "What matters is that I know the truth now. And I want to make things right between us." James's face softened, and he took a step closer to her. "Sarah, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice filled with regret. "I was so blind. I should have seen through Mary's tricks." Sarah's heart melted at his words. She knew that James was genuinely sorry, and that he loved her. "I forgive you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. James's face lit up with joy, and he pulled her into his arms. "I promise to never let anyone come between us again," he said, his voice filled with determination. Sarah smiled, feeling happy and content for the first time in months. She knew that she and James still had a lot to work through, but she was ready to face whatever challenges came their way. As they hugged, Sarah felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had been carrying around so much anger and hurt for so long, and finally, she could let it go. "Let's start fresh," James said, pulling back and looking into her eyes. "No more secrets, no more lies. Just us, together." Sarah nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and hope. "Yes, let's do it." And with that, they sealed their commitment to each other with a kiss. As they pulled back, Sarah smiled up at James. "You know, I think we've been through enough drama for a while. How about we just enjoy each other's company and take things slow?" James grinned, relief written all over his face. "Sounds perfect to me." And so, they did. They spent the next few weeks rekindling their romance, taking long walks, having deep conversations, and just enjoying each other's company. Sarah finally felt like she had her James back, and she was grateful for it. But just as things were starting to feel normal again, Sarah received a mysterious message... "Mary's not done yet. She's got one more trick up her sleeve." Sarah's heart sank. What did it mean? And what did Mary have planned? Sarah's heart sank as she read the message. She had thought they were finally done with Mary's drama. But it seemed like Mary wasn't ready to let go yet. She showed the message to James, who frowned. "Don't worry, Sarah. We're not going to let Mary get to us. We're stronger than that." Sarah nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "You're right. We've been through too much already. We're not going to let her bring us down." Together, they decided to ignore the message and focus on their own happiness. And as they did, they realized that Mary's power over them was gone. They were finally free to love each other without any drama or manipulation. As they looked into each other's eyes, Sarah knew that she had found her true love in James. And she was grateful for every moment they had shared, even the difficult ones. "Thank you for being my rock, James," Sarah said, her voice filled with emotion. "Thank you for being mine, Sarah," James replied, his eyes shining with love. And with that, they sealed their love with a kiss, knowing that nothing could ever break them apart again.
