An hour had passed, yet Scarlett remained in an unresponsive state.
"Why is she not waking up?" Ezaih was filled with impatient.
Observing how pallid Scarlett had become, Ezaih struggled to keep his temper cool.
"My lord, she is suffering from exhaustion-induced fever, which explains her continued unconsciousness. However, with adequate rest, she will recover," the doctor explained hastily, exhibiting a distinct sense of fear.
His panic was such that he recoiled, almost forgetting to breathe.
"But she's going be okay right? Ezaih demanded in a hushed tone, his eyes fixed on the doctor.
If the doctor dared to admit uncertainty, Ezaih would promptly take him back to his ancestors.
"Yeah she will be fine. Within a hour or four hours, or at most, she will be awake."
