Tatum’s disbelief turned to a flash of anger, though his voice remained steady and firm. “It is me?” He questioned, his eyes narrowing. “What is so wrong with me that you suddenly do not want to hang out anymore? We have been spending every day for the past month, and now you suddenly change your mind?” He was hurt and confused by her sudden rejection, and he wanted answers.
Atlas steeled herself against Tatum’s irritation, her resolve unwavering. “You know exactly why,” She responded firmly. “This past month has been great, but it is time for us to stop hanging out.” She knew her words would hurt him, but she was determined to stand her ground. She could not allow herself to get attached again, no matter how much she may have enjoyed their time together.
