Cousin Janus -is my shield

“ What takes you forever?” she ask Janus while giving him a hug.

“Traffic?”

“What a lame excuse”

“Fine, I wrongly note your arrival time, I just realized it when you called me and said you arrive already”Janus replied with a smirk and a raise eyebrow

“How’s the business?” she just ask to remove the anxious feeling of seeing Anthony a while ago

“ We’ll discuss that when you settle down in the hotel, and what’s with this outfit?, you look like a mad woman.” Janus look at her from head to toe and pull her luggage from her hand

“ I am a mad woman” She sarcastically smile at Janus and follow his lead to the car.

Janus Smith, is Aunt Mary son, He is 6 years older than her and he currently manages Happy Hotel, its a 2  acres hotel with a nice view and facility , and with a very high rating. She put up this hotel but make Janus the face of the hotel. She help Janus manage it on the background. She doesn’t want the Campbell side to know that she was indeed a successful young woman. She finished her Finance Degree and she also take short courses on Hotel Management.

When She left A City, She sold all the her Dad and Mom’s stocks in the Holiday hotel chain and all their properties at a cheap price and considering that her mom was suffering  depression, no one would guess how she manage to earn all her money to own Happy hotel. Before she reach 18, she was already interested on stock market investment. At 18, she started trading using her allowance. While other teenager are doing computer game, she was on this as her past time. She never thought that it became her life saving tool. She have invested all the funds from the sale of properties in Trading, and tripled it in just  few months. Of course this was with the help of her unexplained talent she discover when she was abroad.

“Leanne, I save the penthouse in the hotel for you” Janus was driving

“ No Janus, I should stay on a regular room for now. I’ll look for a small apartment. I need to maintain low profile. Let’s not catch their attention for now” She explained to Janus her plan while looking outside the window.

“Ok, your the boss” Then Janus started calling someone from the hotel to change the accommodation arrangement for Leanne.

There where a lot of changes in the city from what she remember. There are new High rise buildings, road improvements but the old warm feeling is still there. It is still indeed her home after all of which she spent her happy childhood and the saddest part of her life. A teardrop fell from her eyes. She wiped it and close her eyes to rest.

Janus glance at her cousin. He knows that she always acted strong but she is hiding her sorrows deep.

He was indebted to her family and no money can pay for this. So his life is always for Leanne’s family. He committed himself to support her.

Janus accompanied Leanne up to her room, He sit on the couch while Leanne started unpacking.

“ Leanne, White group & Campbell have been trying to scout our restaurant personnel. We are getting good reviews on our East restaurant and its getting much of their attention”

“ Did anyone left us?”

“ Oh, no one yet ,but few staff did mentioned they were being scouted “

“Can you make me work in the restaurant and in the Bar? Ill start working tomorrow”

“Ok, So I removed you from the secretarial post you ask earlier?”

“ Nope, keep me as your secretary, Ill work as a staff in the restaurant and bar. I need to be hands on to know where should we improved.”

“Ok, take a rest for now , let’s resume business tomorrow“ Janus stand up and was about to leave the room when Leanne said.

“ Janus, no one should know were cousin. Ok?”

He just give Leanne an ok gesture before leaving the room
