I hadn"t wasted any time when I finally got home. And not just because I"d managed to find a packet of old ibuprofen in the medicine cabinet. The expiry date was from before I"d moved in, which wasn"t so good, but I was grateful for anything that helped rid me of the pounding pain in my head. After swallowing more of them than I should, I"d dropped down into my bed and let sleep come to me. Was I asleep, or was I awake? I had no true idea. The covers were tight around my body from my tossing and turning. What was going on? This was why I didn"t like taking pain killers. They dulled my senses and gave me odd images I couldn"t explain.
