Uggg!!!Lucy groans in frustration as she hits her laptop hard… she has been on this website for days, looking for jobs.
“Stupid website, stupid America policy, stupid me, ugggg” she yelled as she hit her head on the table in frustration, her phone made a sound and she checked who it was... “Meeting at 3pm tomorrow came naked” the text read Lucy signed in frustration
Lucy was about to log out of the website… when a new job notification appeared. Lucy grinned with a lot of excitement
“A pediatrician” she said confused as she read what the job entails. I don't even have a school certificate she thought to herself. She picked up her phone and called her friend from the club
Alex- Hey girl, what's good
Lucy - I am good I am good I mean life has been great.. You
Alex- girl I just want to leave this s**t hole
Lucy- well I need your help... I have a job interview tomorrow and I don't have a CV to present can you help me
Alex- You want me to forge a result for you
Lucy- I mean you always know a guy
Alex- Yeah I know a guy but it's going to cost you a lot
Lucy - I can pay... I mean I will pay
Alex - Alright I'd send you the amount and the number you'd get if first thing tomorrow
Lucy- Okay babe thanks I owe you
Alex - no biggie
Lucy took a deep breath and she did the transaction with Alex... She checked the time of the interview and it read 12am... I could go for the interview and make it to the meeting she thought to herself
The sun was barely up when Lucy flew out of her bed, she checked her phone and saw Alex had already sent the document to her. She got dressed and ordered a cab to the hospital… this road looks very familiar she felt like she had been here before
“ Ma’am we are here” the driver said
“Shet shet sheet” she hit her hand on her head
“Ma’am is there any issue “ the driver asked
“ No... Ermm here is the bill” she handed him cash and came out of the car
“Fingers crossed he is not going to interview me “ she said to herself as she made her way to the hospital door
She walked into the hospital her heart racing hoping not to bump into the doctor
“Hi ma’am here for the interview” the receptionist asked snapping Lucy out of her thoughts
“ yh yh yh” Lucy said
“Well your interview time is 2:30pm” The receptionist said
“2:30pm but on the website the time stated there was 12am” Lucy said raising her voice
“Ma’am keep your voice down... You are in a hospital please people are watching… Other people came for the interview before you so please have your seat and wait till it's your turn” the receptionist said with a stern voice. Lucy hissed and she went to take her seat
Lucy trembled thinking she was going to miss the meeting… Time passed slowly but it finally came...
“Next “Lucy heard as she got up and walked to the office. There she met the doctor with other doctors, Lucy was shocked but trying to act like everything was okay, she then let out a sigh
“Welcome… take a seat” he said with a smirk on his face
The interview went smoothly, Lucy never knew her guessing game was still there, she submitted the document and left the office, Lucy checked her phone and saw a lot of missed calls
“Shet!” she panicked
Lucy ran in her heels out of the hospital. Lucy brought out her phone to order a ride when she noticed a car parked in front of her. Lucy noticed they were sent to her, and she started to run but one of the men ran to her
“It's thirty minutes passed the call time” he said holding her to the wall as he choked her
“ I.… was….sick… I needed medication” she said hitting his hands so she could breathe but he tightened his grip. He hit her head on the wall and he threw her on the ground, he punched her on her face, he hit her face on the wall, and he twisted her hand behind her back
“This is a message from the boss, NEVER MISS CALL UP TIME AGAIN” he said Lucy could only nod
“Hey leave her alone” they heard and they looked and it was the doctor
“Oh this is the reason you didn't show up” he said, tightening his grip before Lucy could answer, the doctor hit his face and he let go of Lucy, Lucy fell on her knees the doctor bit the man and the man ran away
“Hi you okay I am Adam by the way” he said trying to help Lucy up , She passed out
