Chapter 21

The bell rings.

"Class dismissed. See you next week."

I pack my book to my bag then went out from my classroom. I look at my watch and the school isnt over yet.

"Hey, Madison." Rachel grins at me and walk next to me.

"Hey." I smile back at her.

"Actually I'm kinda curious with something since the whole glee club members cant stop asking the rumours about you and...."

"Finn?" I cut her off.

"Yeah. So do you-do you both dating?" Rachel asks me.

"I dont know." I shrug.

"Why you dont know? You both holding hands when walk in the hallways, sharing glances, and-and Finn has his arm on you when we in glee club." Rachel frowns at me.

"We told each other that we love each other more than bestfriend to bestfriend but we want to take it slow but we didnt mind to show our affection to one another so....kind of." I said to Rachel.

"Oh...okay... I have another class right now. See you!" Rachel waves me a goodbye and walk off.

"See you!" I wave her a goodbye and still walking.

Yeah everytime Finn and I walk in the hallways and holding hands seems like everyone looking at us and it's been one week. They must be curious about who is the one who date the quarterback of football team.

But for the fact that Finn and I arent dating. We just didnt afraid to show our affection to one another. Besides that we do many romantic things that any other couple did.

Sounds weird, I know. But Finn and I just want to take it slow because in the end we know that we'll be together.

"Hey Madison. I have something to talk to you." Kurt grins at me and walk next to me.

"What? You want to ask me either Finn and I are dating or not? Kurt, you know us." I sigh.

"No. Not about that." Kurt shakes his head. "So I've been thinking that I want to recruit you as my vice president if I win this senior class president." Kurt grins at me.

"But I'm stupid." I frown at Kurt and open my locker.

"You still listen what Sam said to you? Oh come on. You helped Finn to study every night and you're not stupid at all. You're magical and I want you to be with me because we have many things in common."

"Wait, what about Rachel?" I frown at him.

"I wanna win for changing the school. And I know that you have a good reputation in this school then you can help me with changing this whole school. How?" Kurt grins at me.

"Are you trying to flirt with her, dude?" Finn frowns at us.

"No. I wont steal your private teacher with benefit." Kurt rolls his eyes.

"I saw your debate and I like that so I guess, maybe I could make one." I smile at Kurt.

"So you want it right? Yeay! Thank you so much so for now you are team Kurt." Kurt says happily and give me unicorn hat like his.

"Wait, what is happening here?" Finn frowns at us.

"I asked Madison to be my vice president if I got elected." Kurt says to Finn.

"Dont worry I will think about the campaign strategy for the next debate." I smile at Kurt. "And how was the slap-problem?" I turn my face at Finn.

Last week, The Troubletones and New Directions had mash-off competitions also a doucheball game. For the douchball game we lost from the Troubletones and Finn knows that Santana is gay. And Santana slapped Finn's face because she thinks that he was the one who spread the rumours.

"I fake it. I told Figgins that it was stage slap so we can win sectionals in fair way." Finn says to us.

"Are you nuts? She slapped your face and it's bullying." Kurt frowns.

"I was playing nice. So for this week assignment is about Santana. New Directions and The Troubletones will sit down in choir room together and make this one special assignment." Finn says to us.

"That was the best choice." I smile at Finn. "You're genius."

"I know I am." Finn pull his face closer to me and about to kiss me.

"Eww I'm tired seeing you both made out in front of my face." Kurt rolls his eyes.

"Haha hey, you wanna sing a song with me for Santana today also do little campaign?" I ask Kurt.

"Sure. Perfect by Pink. I love that song. I didnt wrong to choose you as my vice president. See you in glee club, Maddy!" Kurt smiles at me and walk away.

"See you!" I wave him a goodbye.

"Seriously? Vice president with Kurt?" Finn frowns at me.

"I like his champaign besides that he is the only one candidate who didnt bring negative thing, Finn." I said to Finn and turn my face back to my locker.

"I have surprise for you." Finn grins at me.

"Okay what is that?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I got B+ for algebra and this is the first time in my life." Finn smiles at me.

"This is amazing! You're genius!" I smile back at at him and hug him.

"You're really happy with this?" Finn raises his eyebrows at me.

"That's your reward and I'm happy with that. Why?" I frown at Finn.

"I just want you to be really sure. I want you to be really sure that you're in love with me, and not who you want me to be." Finn says to me.

I shut my locker and looking at him. "Did I ever ask you to be someone else? Finn, I love you for who you are. I dont care you got B, C, or even A+ as long as it's you, I'll be support you, no matter what. Just be yourself is enough for me. I never expected you to be another person or even to be someone that I want because I know it would make you uncomfortable with yourself. I'll always love you for who you are, no matter what." I smile at him.

"I dont know what to say. You're pretty amazing. I was wrong to said that to you. Because when I'm with you, you make me be myself and you never want me to be another person." Finn smiles back at me.

"You can kiss me in public if you want." I giggle.

"I want to. Because I really love you." Finn says and push his face closer to me.

Finn holds my hands and push his face closer to me then kisses me softly. This is our first public kisses that happen in front of my locker in school hallways.

Well, I dont care with what other people say because this is our lifes and we are the one who run our lifes.

"That's strange when you wanna have PDA." Finn says to me.

"I'm in a good mood now so I want to. By the way, do you want to accompany me to the mall today for buy some books and looking for the best gift for my dad? After that we can get some dinner or you wanna watch movie?" I grin at Finn.

"You ask me out to on a date with you?" Finn smirks at me.

"We have a date every night." I roll my eyes.

"Haha okay. Just go to wherever you want to go as long as not go out from my life again." Finn smirks at me.

"Ew stop being so cheesy, that's little bit disgusting." I chuckle. "What do you have now?"

"Physics. What about you?"

"Same." I nodded and take my notebook from my locker.

"Walk you to the class?" Finn shows me his hand.

"Honor it'd be." I take his hand as we walk together in the hallways with holding our hands at each other.

Glee Club

I'm sitting down in the middle row of choir room next to Kurt as we are officially the new candidates for Senior Class President and Vice President.

Finn is standing on the front and writing 'Lady Music Week' on the white board. This weekly assignment was his idea.

"Can someone tell us what's going on, please?" Mercedes asks.

"This week, the Troubletones and New Directions will both be singing music created by ladies and for ladies." Finn says to us.

"Oh, hell no." Santana frowns.

"Next week, all of us will be going to Sectionals, and one of us is probably gonna win. But, Santana, we're worried about you." Finn says to Santana.

"Worry about yourself, fetus face." Santana simply said.

I let out a sigh and roll my eyes. She made me stressed out for that musical drama but glad that it was over.

"Glee's about learning how to accept yourself for who you are, no matter what other people think. And that's what this music is all about." Finn says.

"So, wait, I don't even get a say in this? Not cool." Santana protest.

"Everybody in this room knows about you and Brittany. And we don't judge you for it.

We celebrate it because it's who you are.

Look, I know not everybody outside of this room is as accepting and cool, but we're doing this assignment this week so that you know in this rotten, stinking mean world that you at least have a group of people who will support your choice to be whoever you want to be. That's it. That's what we're doing here." Finn says to Santana. "Okay, you both have something right?" Finn turns his face at Kurt and I then he sit down on an empty seat next to mine.

"Santana, Kurt and I have a song we like to sing to each other since last night we saw a movie with this song as one of the soundtrack and we'd like to sing it for you." I grin at Santana.

"While there's nothing I'd love more than having two Pretty Ponies serenade me." Santana simply said.

"I know it's hard. It was hard for me, too.

But you can get through this." Kurt says to Santana.

"Look, we all love you, Santana. We dont care about who you are we love you because that's yourself." I said to Santana. "And someone once told me that if someone love you, they should love you just the way you are, if they try to change you in love, that's not love but it's a compromise and there is no compromise in love, right?" I said and take a look a bit at Finn. He just smiles at me and nodded. "And we didnt want to change you, we love you for who you are and we accept you." I turn my face at Santana.

"Wait, are we talking lady on lady or girl on girl? 'Cause there's a big difference." Puck says.

"Puck, focus, okay?" Mr. Schue turn his face at Puck. "Can you guys just get to the song?" Mr. Schue turn his face at us.

Kurt nodded to the band. And the guitar is start playing.

Kurt and I ended up our song with hi-five at each other. The others are appaluding for us then turn their face at Santana.

"Thank you, guys. Thank you, Finn, especially. You know, with all the horrible crap I've been through in my life now I get to add that." Santana clapping a bit and still being a sassy b***h.

The bell rings.

"Alright, keep workin on this assignment guys. Such a great idea, Finn." Mr. Schue smiles at us then walk off.

I take my ransel from my seat. The school is finally over and I guess I can go home.

"Still want to go to the mall to find best birthday present for your dad?" Finn asks me.

"Yeah. You want to accompany me? If you cant, I can ask Kurt or take a cab." I said to Finn.

"I'm free." Finn walks next to me and hold my hand.

"But I dont know what I should give for my dad. He got everything." I sigh.

"A wife." Finn simply said.

"Finn, I'm serious." I roll my eyes.

"I'm also serious, Maddy. Your dad got everything, this beautiful daughter, pride, highest position in his office, talent, intelligence, and many things. But one thing he doesnt have is only a wife." Finn says to me.

I just being quiet as we keep walking. Yeah Finn is right. My dad got everything but a wife. He has daughter but he is unmarried. He is a father but he is not a husband.

"You okay?" Finn asks as I get into his car.

"I didnt tell you that someone emailed me and claimed herself as my mom." I said to Finn.

"When that happened?" Finn frowns at me.

"Before summer after the tragedy I met my mom in New York. I never answer that emailed and she just emailed me twice and then she never emailed me again. I'm just afraid if someone just played along with me." I sigh.

"Why you didnt tell me, Maddy?" Finn frowns at me.

"Actually if she kept emailed me, I would to tell you but since it was only twice so I ignore it." I said to Finn.

"But you okay right?" Finn asks me.

"I'm fine, dont worry about that." I nodded and smile at Finn.

"Good then." Finn rubs my hair and start driving away from McKinley to the mall.

I play the tape and listen to the music while Finn is driving. "You see what Santana's reaction after we did that song for her?" I ask Finn.

"Still cant stop being a b***h one. But I care about her. I really do." Finn says to me.

"Because she is your first?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Not only that. She might be really rude but when she defended her friends, she will do it with all her heart even though no one cares." Finn says.

"People cant remember thousand kindness we made but thet can easily remember one mistake we made." I said to Finn.

"See the next senior vice president is really wise." Finn chuckles.

"Ugh stop it. I just want to make a change." I chuckle. "Besides that everyone is start talking about 'who is the girl with the quarterback lately?" I sigh.

"But is it cool, right?" Finn chuckles.

"I dont know because I dont wanna be popular, I just wanna live my senior year." I giggle.

"And that's your choice. I dont wanna force you."

"And I will be the next senior class vice president!" I said happily. "I got many things in my mind and I have to tell Kurt after this."

"Up to you." Finn chuckles and park his car in front of the mall.

I take my bag and went out from his car. Finn went out from his car and lock the car. I walk to the main entrance of the mall with Finn next to me and hold my hand.

I'm standing in front of my locker and check my list for the senior class president debate tomorrow. I'm ready to face everything for a better McKinley.

Kurt's poll already increase since last nigh and we are in the number one, 20% above Brittany and I guess I can win this.

I got so many things in my mind to win this elected. I want to win because I want to make a change not because of increasing my popularity.

"Hey, wanna get some lunch?" Finn comes to me and smiles at me.

"Wait a minute. I have to finish write this so I wont forget." I smile back at Finn.

"It's okay." Finn rubs my hair.

"Rachel Berry. According to the poll last night, your place is the lowest since you are no longer dating the quarterback. Are you sure you can win?"

I turn my face and Jacob Ben Israel is interviewing Rachel as she is standing in front of her locker. Finn look at them a bit then turn his face at me and shrugs.

"I'm sure, I can win." Rachel proudly answer.

"So you can get Finn Hudson back?" Jacob Ben Israel asks her.

Rachel didnt answer but shut her locker and walk away. I know she must be jealous with me and Finn. Also she rarely talk to me since Finn keep his arm on me.

"You okay?" Finn asks me.

"Did-did Rachel ever talk to you after you ran away from her house?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You jealous with Rachel?" Finn frowns at me.

"I dont know. She barely talk to me since we are getting closer." I shrug.

"She talked to me once and apologized. That's it. I really love you, and I keep myself away from any others girl like Rachel, Quinn, or even Santana." Finn says to me.

"Well, Santana is gay. Quinn is having Puck and I'm afraid with Rachel." I sigh.

"There is nothing to be afraid of." Finn shakes his head.

"Well, you said you wanna have lunch right? Let's have lunch together." I shut my locker and take Finn's hand then start walking together.

I'm walking in the hallways and about turn my way to the choir room for having glee club until I see Finn and Rachel seems like talking about something.

I walk closer to them and eavesdropping what is the thing they been talk about.

"Okay here is the deal, Finn. You become my vice president and we can make a great couple. If we win, your popularity will increase. Isnt that what you want?" Rachel grins at Finn.

"No, I dont care with my popularity." Finn shakes his head.

"Listen, I will be popular and I can make sure you will be too if I win. Just do this behind Madison's back and we can back to be together." Rachel says to Finn.

"No, I dont want it." Finn shakes his head and about to walk off.

Rachel catches his hand to make him stop. "Finn, I'm really sorry, I'm done a stupid thing but I really need you to win."

"I said no, Rachel. I dont wanna do this." Finn push her hands away.

"Okay last thing, if I win, do you want to getting back together with me? I know you and Madison arent dating because she is not ready for that and it's mean that she keep you hanging on and what is that? Is that hurt your feeling? Finn just listen to me this time okay. Think about that." Rachel says to Finn and walk away.

What is this? First she want to used Finn so she can act better and now she really want to win so she can getting back together with Finn?

I know I'm not Finn's girlfriend. We are not dating. And Finn can choose his choice and I know I keep him hanging on when I shouldnt.

I just want to win because I want to make better things for McKinley and I dont want to win just because I want to get someone's arms.

"Hey, I like your speech on online last night that you said that you wanna clear all those bribe between student and teacher right?" Quinn grins at me and walk next to me.

"What do you mean?" I frown at her.

"Lets have a deal that we are friends now and I apologize for everything I did okay." Quinn standing in front of me.

"You apologize that easy?" I frown at her.

"Look, Madison. I really meant it. I'm over Finn right now and you can have him or do anything with him. Look into my eyes if you dont trust me." Quinn smiles at me.

I raise my eyebrows and looking at her. "Okay apologize accepted." I sigh then built a smile on my face.

"Good. So we're kind of friends huh?" Quinn chuckles.

"Yeah kind of." I chuckle.

"Okay so I really like your campaign and I wanna ask you something about relationship between student and teacher. What do you think?" Quinn asks as we walk together.

"It's definitely illegal. And kind of pedo I think. I mean, when a teacher get into our group chats, it's already illegal then having a relationship with their student? Oh come on." I roll my eyes.

"I really like your campaign and I hope you will win that and good luck." Quinn smiles at me. "We all know that a student cant have affair with their teacher because it's illegal." Quinn says a bit loud then walk to her seat.

I just raise my eyebrows then sit down on my seat next to Kurt. "The worlds is gonna end when she is talking to you." Kurt whisper at me.

"She just apologized." I said to Kurt.

"Hey.." Finn smiles at me and sit down next to me. "I saw you walk in the hallways with Quinn. What happened?" Finn ask quietly.

"She apologized and she said that she likes my campaign." I simply said.

"Good one." Finn simply said then want to hold my hand.

I didnt make any moves or anything. My mood can easily changed especially after I saw Finn talked with Rachel and I guess that Finn will getting back together with Rachel if she win.

"Okay back to lady music week." Mr. Schue walks in. "Finn, you said that you have something to show?" Mr. Schue points at Finn.

"Yes." Finn nodded and walk to the front.

Brad start playing the piano as Finn standing on the front and singing a song for Santana.

Finn:

I came home, in the middle of the night

My father says "What you gonna do with your life?"

Finn ended up his song by sit down on a chair right in front of Santana. I can see that during the performance her eyes full with tears.

She stand up from her seat and hug Finn. "Thank you. Thank you." Santana's sobbing.

"We all love you, Santana." Finn says to Santana.

Santana wipes her tears and smiles at us. "Update, y'all. Um, I told my parents last night, and they were actually okay with it. I just have to tell my Abuela before she sees that stupid commercial. But luckily she only watches Univision."

"Such a brave one." I smile at Santana.

"Thank you." She smiles back at us.

We just cheering and smile happily at her. Until we all walk to the front and start hugging and comforting each other.
