Prophesied Luna

Episode.3

The young girl could not talk. Her mouth was left hanging open showing the small pinkish tongue in the center of her mouth.

"OK then, I'll..." She made as if to walk away but suddenly turned around to give the man a punch to his jaw, which was immediately followed by a kick directed to his groin.

He knelt in pain.

The fighter girl brought the young girl to his kneeling form.

"You know what to do, right?"

Through gritted teeth "I apologize for my actions. It would be the last time such has ever occurred."

Satisfied, the girl fighter turned around to face the other passengers as they started clapping in admiration of her bravery. All this while, she had her back to them.

Chloe was surprised as she recognized her.

Olivia?

She didn't have time to talk. One of the fallen boys stood up and was about to use a knife to attack Olivia from the back.

"Olivia duck"

Olivia bent down swiftly and the guy came into view. Chloe punched him directly on his face and went further to twist the hand in which he was holding the knife.

The guy yelped in pain and dropped the knife while Olivia kicked it out of reach.

They were about to continue performing wonders on his body when they noticed that a truck full of hoodlums in dressings similar to the ones on the bus was approaching the bus at high speed.

The boss had called for support.

They were all wearing angry expressions and saying inaudible words angrily.

"We have to get out of here or these maniacs will harm other people" Chloe noted worriedly.

The bus stopped for a minute to let the girls get off. They took along the little girl because she was the main target of the hoodlums.

Run!

Of course, they all knew they had to do that. They ran inside a nearby bush to make it hard for the hoodlums to follow them. Olivia carried the little girl on her back to run more easily and faster.

After about 20 minutes of running, they got to the little girl's house and her mother was very grateful. She gave them some meat pies she meant to sell to take along.

"Thank you very much ma'am" the girls chorused as they went away.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"And that's how we came to school together and became friends."

Lisa was just looking at them one after the other.

"Then, I'm one of you now" she finally smiled in satisfaction.

"But..." Olivia looked at Chloe curiously like she was studying her.

"You were very fast while running. You even had to wait for us many times so we could catch up with you. How come?"

Chloe just laughed "I've always been a fast runner."

It was at this stage that a boy came to sit down in front of them. He was the second most intelligent student after Chloe.

He turned and winked at the three girls, making the other girls that were nearby snort loudly. They were jealous. His name was Ryan Millers. The most handsome guy in the whole school. Blonde hair, blue eyes, chiseled jaws, pointed nose, nice abs, money ...he has it all.

Unfortunately for him, the three girls just rolled their eyes, making him seem insignificant.

He smiled.

The biology teacher entered and started lecturing.

"Today's topic is Urinary System," they announced as it was projected on the giant white board in front of the class.

At the end of the class, the Class Representative mounted the podium in front of the class and signaled to the students to give her their attention.

"Hello people, Our class teacher would like to pass across our important information to us". She stopped and looked into the faces of her classmates.

"In view of this, you all need to wait for about 5 minutes so she can round up what she's doing currently and come address us"

The students didn't argue and all waited patiently.

After a 4-minute wait, the teacher finally came into the class.

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting."

"No problem, ma'am", the students assured her.

"I was directed by the school principal to inform you this year's annual school festival would be a trip to the Dark Forest.

The students were both surprised and curious.

What kind of dangerous trip is this?

~ Is the school owner trying to get us killed?

~ Does he even know about this?

~ I'm scared

The students were all cautious because recently there had been news of some strange behaviors and unexplainable fur and blood in the forest.

People are scared to go there for any sort of activity, no matter how inviting it might appear.

"You don't have to worry about your safety at all", the teacher announced, as if reading the thoughts of the students.

"All necessary measures have been put in place to ensure you are all safe"

"You'll be arriving at a mansion far away from the areas where the strange activities have been going on. You'll also be provided with all the equipment and protective equipment necessary."

It sounded fun and dangerous to the students.

"You'll be spending the usual 2 weeks there" the teacher concluded her announcement.

They've all heard stories of how beautiful the Dark Forest was.

With a surprisingly clear lake...and trees with flowers that bloom all year round.

It is called the 'Dark Forest' because once, it's 6pm in the evening, everywhere becomes dark until 12am the next morning.

Rumor has it that this was the aftermath of a curse on the forest by a great witch about 1000 years ago. No one knows for certain what really happened, since nobody from that time can still be found alive.

Since the teacher had already delivered the message intended, she left the classroom and the students began to disperse as they discussed the proposed trip.

~ I can't wait

~ Going to be one of the best journeys of my life

~s**t! I need new clothes.

~Think I'll need a bikini?

~ I can showcase my brilliance with this research

The new friends also walked out of the class.

"Where do we go now?" Lisa asked.

"Let's just go to the common room," Olivia answered.

"Yeah, we have many things to catch up on, since we newly became friends," Lisa said.

Chloe was quietly thinking as she carefully watched the two girls. It might seem abrupt and surprising that she accepted them as friends, but she made that decision after a discussion with her father the previous night.

After eating the meal she prepared, she had told her father about the girls that were disturbing her in school just so they could be her friends.

After getting a description of the girls' behavior and looks and careful thought, her father said"I think it would be to your own benefit if you accepted them as friends. Who knows? They might be sent like angels to you"

As an afterthought, he had added, "If you still have second thoughts about them, you can just continue to be watchful around them and don't give them your complete trust."

Chloe thought that was the best thing to do and so....here she was. With two new friends that she would never have imagined she could have.

"Let's go", She finally voiced out.

The girls went towards the common room, chattering enthusiastically.

"They just went out" a baritone voice suddenly said in the class as the owner's eyes followed the girls out of the class.

There was a long pause.

"Good job", a deeper, powerful voice said through the phone.
