Riley Honestly, it wasn’t as surprising as the first time it happened because I knew it was only a matter of time before the gates of hell opened. So when dear old stepdaddy threw in another offer to get me off his son’s back for the second time, I had a good sense in me to really think things through and not jump the gun first thing. What was surprising, though, was how he discussed things. He wasn’t being rude or anything. In fact, coming from a business standpoint, he was only being objective. Coming from a stepfather’s perspective, well, that’s an entirely different story. I don’t particularly like Xavier as a stepdad.
