Melanie's POV
"Have you thought of my offer ".he demanded in anger.
I stared at him with so much anger and hatred but did not say a word.
"Speak, when I ask you to speak ".he demanded in anger.
I hesitated for a while before speaking up.
"Me". I murmured
"You?" He asked confused,
"Yes me, I'm the king's weakest point ". I murmured
He chuckled softly and shakes his head, before staring at me with anger on his face.
"How can a common maid like you be the almighty king Kai's weakest point".he asked in disbelief,
"Are you joking with me".he asked in anger.
I took in a deep breath and stared at him in the eyes, withholding whatever fear I have in me.
"I'm the king's weakest point because the king loves me so much and wanted to marry me, but along the line something happened". I muttered out those words in a serious tune.
He stood up from his chair and walk up to me so that we were just an inch apart.
"What happened" he asked while staring directly into my eyes.
"I became drunk one night and sleep with a palace guard and even got pregnant for him". I muttered out those words while locking eyes with it and didn't blink in fear.
He stared into my eyes like he was trying to read through me.
"How do I know of this is true".he asked in disbelief.
"You have men ,you can send them out to find out if I'm lying". I muttered out those words confidently.
He stared at me for a moment before walking away.
He sat on his chair and stared at me with a Victorious smile on his face.
Then and there I knew he believed me.
"Solider".he calls out.
A solider rushed in
"Yes commander".
"Release everyone and send them back to their village and send a message to the king that I have his beloved maid right here with me ". He said those words with a big grin on his face.
I hissed silently in relief when I realized lali, Dean and Malik will be safe.
"What about me ?" I asked even when I knew my fate
"You ?" He asked,
"Yes me, what happened to me ?" I asked, anger.
He chuckled softly and took a sip of his drink and stared at me with a big grin on his face.
"You will stay here with me until he agrees to my demands ".he spoke firmly.
I wasn't surprised by his words because that was what I was expecting from him.
"Seat " he ordered,
I stared at home with anger and hesitated for a while before seating on the chair opposite him.
"So tell me about the king and you" he asked while relaxing on his chair.
"There is nothing to tell ". I murmured and look away.
He chuckled softly and stared at me like he was trying to pierce through my soul.
"You are indeed beautiful, no wonder the king has his eyes on you".he murmured those words while licking his lips in lust
"s**t" I murmured to myself
I was in deep trouble and I knew it.
"I can give you all the things he can't give you".he murmured those words while staring at me with lustful eyes.
I stared at him with and anger and look away.
"What do you think ".he asked while staring at me.
"I don't want your offer ". I murmured
He chuckled softly a d stared at me with a big grin on his face,
"it Is not like you have a choice".he muttered out those words like he meant it.
"Right now work before pleasure, I'll get back to you after I'm done with work".he took a sip of his drink and stared at me with a big grin on his face that I find it irritating.
"I can't wait to see the look of his face when he realized I'm holding you captive".he chuckled softly and stood a sip of his drink.
I laugh within myself, if only he knew I had played him, get won't be celebrating this victory.
"Are you hungry" he asked while staring directly at me.
"No". I murmured
"Are you sure".he asked,
I hissed softly and look away.
He stared at me and took a sip of his drink
"Solider".he calls out

"Have the prisoners been released ?" He asked
"Yes commander "
"Have my message been passed "
"Yes commander".
He hissed in relief and send the guard away.
"How long do you think we will have to wait for the king replied".he asked,
"Eternity". I murmured to myself
"What did you say ?".he asked,
I hissed softly and stared at him with irritation.
"Maybe a day ". I murmured
"That's good " he murmured with a smile on his face.
I roll my eyes and look away
"He had to come latest by tomorrow if not I will cut your body into pieces and sent it to him ".he said those words while staring directly into my eyes.
Then and there I knew I was in trouble.
King Kia POV
"My king the villagers have been released".a guard walk into my Chambers
Hearing those words from him, I quickly stood up from my chair and rushed to the camp
"Greetings my king ".the guards on the way greeted, but my only intention was to see Melanie and the green eyes boy.
I got to the camp, where the villagers camped and asked for the people who were just released, so I could see them.
"Here are they my king ".my chief guard spoke up
I stared at the people and my eyes fell on the green eyes boys, he was standing with a strange woman who wasn't Melanie.
Quickly, I walk up to them and stood before the boy.
"Where is his mother". I asked no one in particular
"My king, there is a problem”.my chief guard whispered in my ear
“Speak”. I ordered
"He sent a message that he has your favorite maid that if you don't agree to his demand he will cut her body into pieces".he spoke firmly.
"Melanie ". I whispered in anger.
I clench my fist in anger and grit my teeth in range.
I move my gaze to the boy I noticed how he was staring at me with a big smile on his face and instantly all the anger in me drained
I bend down to his height and gently caress his hair.
"Are you hungry". I asked while staring into his two sets of green eyes that looks so familiar to me.
“Yes”.he murmured and stared at the woman behind him,
I stood up and stared at the woman
“Who are you ?"
She bows her hair to me in respect
"My name is lali and I'm like an elder sister to Melanie".she spoke with her head bowed,
I nod my head and move my gaze from her before staring at the boy who was staring back at me with no fear in his eyes.
"I'll take him to have dinner with me and return him “.I expressed those words as an order.
She nods her head and did not say a word.
"Come ". I brought forth my hand to the green eyes boy, and he took it,
"Will you eat with me ?" I asked,
"Yes, but what about mother”.he asked with a frown on his face.
I hissed softly and gently caress his cheek
“Your mom will be with you by tomorrow okay ?"
"Promise?" He asked while staring at me with curious eyes.
"Yes ". I replied firmly.
He flash me a big smile before walking away with me.
I walk him back to the palace and could see how happy and amaze he was while staring at the palace.
"This is beautiful".he murmured happily.
I smiled at him and took him to my Chambers.
He got into my Chambers and I made him sit on the bed.
"Guard"
One of my personal guard came rushing in
"Yes my king ".
"Get the maid". I ordered
"Yes my king ".he stood up and rushed out of the room.
Within a minute, my personal maid came in
"Yes my king"
"Get some food for him ".
She stared at him for a while before bowing her head and left my Chambers.
I stared at him and noticed him staring at my room with wild eyes and so much excitement on his face.
"Your room is beautiful ".he whispered cutely
I smiled at him and couldn't remove my gaze from him.
He was just too handsome and cute to for my liking.
"What's your name ". I asked
"Malik, my name is Malik".he replied cutely and cutely swings his legs
"Malik". I whispered slowly,
"Nice name ".
"Thank you, my godmother gave it to me".he murmured happily
hearing that from him, I realized the lady he was with was his godmother.
"My king".
The maid walked in and place a tray of food on the table.
"You can go “. I signaled for her to leave.
"Come eat ".he stood up from the bed and walk up to me and sat in between me with no fear on him.
"Can I eat ?" He asked while staring at me with curious eyes.
"Yes".
He smiled at me and pick up the spoon,
"Do you want me to feed you". I asked
"No, mama said I'm a big boy, and big boys feed themselves".he muttered out those words and took a spoon of the food in his mouth.
He chewed slowly before taking another spoon in his mouth.
I watch him and was so intoxicated by the sight that Icouldn't help but stare at him.
My gaze fell on the plate and I noticed something.
He wasn't eating the carrots, rather he was selecting them like I usually do.
"Why don't you eat carrots ?" I asked in curiously.
"You mean this ?" He asked while pointing at the carrots he selected on the plate.
"Yes, these, why don't you eat them?" I asked
"I don't like them, whenever I eat them it makes me want to vomit".he said those words and took a sip of water.
I stared at him wild eyes and shock,
This was the same reason why I don't eat carrots and here was this child who doesn't eat carrot because of the same reaction.
Firstly, he has my type of hair, secondly my color of eyes, and now he doesn't eat carrots for the same reason why I don't.
This is strange, really strange.
