It was now December 28, and there had been no more news on the Monster case.
That morning Vittorio had woken up about 8:00 am after sleeping for seven hours straight, something very rare as he usually woke up at least a couple of times each night to go to the bathroom. He had suddenly sensed that the series of certain coincidences which he knew about could constitute a clue to the identity of the murderer.
