As Carla had collected and put forward to her readers, not only had a portable typewriter Letter 22 actually been found, inside its case, on the kitchen table of the Corona apartment but, according to Forensics handwriting experts, the tape was precisely the one used to type the letter and memorial and, what’s more, the characters of the machine corresponded. No fingerprints were found on it or on its case. The officers had found a pair of light cotton gloves, however. in the only drawer of the table on which the Letter 22 and case were lying.
Sordi had summoned Don Giulio Colamonti to his office, not just to ask him to repeat what he had declared to the magistrate in Corona’s house, in order to write up his report, but to have a chat about the person of the architect.
