“You w***e! Get off my bed right now!” Cecilia yelled, making Nìkolai growl and charge at her. He slammed her up against the wall and wrapped his hand around her throat, choking her.
“Don’t. Call. Her. That.” His voice was thick with disdain as her face turned blue. As much as I hated her, he couldn’t kill her.
Not right now at least.
I jumped out of her bed and raced over to him. I placed my hand on his arm and tugged on him.
“Let her go, she’s not worth it.” He blew a strangled breath out as he released her. She dropped to the floor gasping for air. I heard multiple footsteps running down the hall, letting me know everyone heard her screams. I mean I’m sure they could be heard for miles.
