We sat in silence on our way back home. I wanted to talk to her but she ignored me as if I wasn’t even there.
Her comment about me still loving Cecilia pissed me off. I mean I did have love for Cecilia, but not in the way she thought. The only reason I kept her alive for so long was because I wanted information.
Valentina seemed to get more information out of her instead. Maybe it was because Cecilia knew Valentina wouldn’t hesitate to kill her. But at the same time, I don’t understand why Cecilia would think I wouldn’t. She did almost kill my child. That’s a death sentence in itself.
But her pleading for her life, pulled on the sliver of love I had left for her in my heart. It was hard to watch her suffer, but at the same time I know she deserved it. She deceived me
