I abruptly opened my eyes, realizing I had fallen asleep. I looked down and didn’t see my baby boy in my arms anymore. I looked around the room frantically, spotting him sleeping on his bed peacefully.
Large and strong arms squeezed me tight, making me remember what happened. I saw the sun shine through the window, making me realize it was morning already.
“How long did I sleep for?” I croaked out.
“A couple of hours.” Nìkolai responded hoarsely as his hot breath spread down my back.
I stretched my neck, feeling a slight pain from the position I was sleeping in. Nìkolai softly kissed underneath my ear, making tingles erupt under my sensitive skin.
