"Promise me one thing before we get off the phone, Mr. Stratton," Aaron Frenkel said. "Before you give me your final decision, take a few days to consider my offer before turning me down. I hate saying no to any of my wife's requests. I hope you can understand my position."
"I will definitely consider it, sir, and once again, thank you so much for calling me personally," Ben answered, still dumbfounded that such a successful big-wig would call to make an offer on Loven's Bakeries. It didn't make sense and was quite the honor, but still. Ben was more than a little starstruck.
"Thanks for your time, Ben, and have a good evening," Mr. Frenkel said just before he hung up the phone.
Ben sat at his desk, not knowing what to say or do next. He felt dirty after taking that call, an offer to
