Ava's POV I sat on my bed, trying to make sense of the image that kept appearing at the corner of my mind. It was a person, but their face was obscured and unclear. I couldn't shake off the feeling that it was someone I know, someone close to me, but I just couldn't place them. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Marietta walk into the room. She cleared her throat to announce her presence, and I looked up to see her standing in the doorway with a friendly smile.
