It was dark inside the cottish tree where Sorne had been nested with little indication of time. Through the cracks in the meshing branches, she saw the occasional twinkle of a star. It was night and her last memories were of day. She had been here for hours at least.  The limbs of the cottish tree unfurled, releasing her onto the soft grassy floor of the forest. She lay there naked and with an evolving memory of how she had gotten there. The grass was sodden. A light breeze and the drizzle of rain battered gently against her body.
