INTIMATE MOMENT
Bella arrived home the next day, and spotted Marco getting out of his car in front of her house. She waved as she parked her car in the garage and headed to the front, turning to Marco with a smile.
“Hi, Bella. Can I come inside?”
Bella nodded. He followed her inside, her awareness of his breathing behind her strong as he touched the small of her back.
As they sat on the couch side by side, Marco said, “Our investigation has led us to Perth. I thought I’d let you know that I’ll be away for a few days, depending on what we find. You need to be careful. My partner will be available if you need anything.”
