BROKEN BOUNDARY
Bella rose stiff-backed and shook her head, hoping that Jackson wouldn’t notice her discomfort. He swaggered forward with a smile, wearing tight-fitting jeans and a t-shirt that said “Men Rule.”
“This is a surprise,” Bella said, a sense of unease at seeing her client outside her practice.
Jackson shrugged. “Coincidence, I guess. I never expected you to be here.”
She pressed her lips together and brushed a strand of hair out her eyes. Liz and Jamie returned and stood by them, but they said nothing.
