Rena
We continued to partake in the evening affairs. I took Gunnar's hand and allowed him to lead me onto the dance floor.
The music was slow, and his body was warm against mine.
I could feel his heartbeat, and it was like a drumbeat in my ears. A loud drumbeat. Was it syncing with mine? No. Impossible. I kept up with his movements and glided across the dance floor with elegance and grace. I had to perform for my mother after all. His hands were strong and calloused, and they sent shivers down my spine.
I had never felt this way before. It was intoxicating.
We moved together as one, our bodies in sync.
I felt like I was flying, and I never wanted it to end.
The song ended, and we were greeted with applause.
Gunnar leaned down and whispered in my ear.
"I can hear your heart thundering wildly. It is quite distracting, I must say." His voice was husky.
I blushed. "I...I can't help it."
"Neither can I," he growled.
His grip tightened, and he pulled me close.
I gasped as he kissed me, his lips hungry and demanding. This was a performance, all a perfectly orchestrated performance. None of this was true or real. His kiss couldn't be. I couldn't think straight as his lips devoured mine. Time was endless in this moment. Even though it was so sudden, I didn't truly want it to end. Performance be damned. Gunnar's teeth grazed my lips in a gentle but demanding bite. Finally, he broke away from her, and the room finally went back to normal. Her mother watched and nodded her head in approval.
"Keep this up, and you'll produce an heir before long." Her mother's words echoed in her mind through their link.
Rena was standing by the window, looking out at the garden. Her hair was pulled back, and her white dress clung to her curves. She was breathtaking.
I moved toward her, my steps silent.
She turned and looked at me, her eyes wide and full of wonder.
I reached out and took her hand.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Nothing," I said.
As soon as Rena's mother asked for an alliance and offered her daughter as a peace offering. He knew they were desperate. He also knew Rena was the most breathtaking woman he had ever seen. His inner wolf growled in approval. A deep sense of belonging sat within him. It was an arranged marriage, but something clicked and snapped when he laid eyes on her. She was made for him, and he sensed it.
Rena
But it wasn't nothing. How could she tell this gorgeous man that she was a virgin. Never in a million years did she think she'd be in an arranged marriage and forced into this predicament. Of course, she knew what to do and how to do it. Her mother made sure she knew. However, she didn't think she'd have to actually do it this way. It was a tradition. All wolf's had to merge their scents after a marriage ceremony, and the mark must be given. She knew the mating bond would be powerful once they merged, but she didn't think it through. Not properly anyway. What would happen if she denied him tonight? Thinking about that made her anxious. Her mother would disown her, call her a disgrace to her people. Would she go as far as threatening to disown her, exile her from her pack? The idea made her blood turn cold.
"You look lost in the clouds, Rena." He approached her slowly.
She nodded, "A little bit, yes."
"Don't be afraid," he said.
"I'm not afraid."
He smiled and caressed her cheek.
"We are joined now. Our packs are united."
She nodded, unable to speak.
"We have a responsibility to produce strong pups," he continued.
She blushed.
"I understand."
"Good." His voice grew heavy with desire.
"I need you," he growled.
"I...I'm yours." The words came out of her lips without question.
His hands were on her hips, his fingers digging into her flesh.
"Yes," he said. "You're mine."
His lips were on hers, his tongue exploring her mouth.
She gasped as he picked her up and carried her to the bed.
He laid her down and stared at her.
"You're beautiful." He trailed kisses along her body. Whispering his admiration of her.
Her breathing quickened as he reached her inner thigh.
He pulled her dress up, exposing her bare skin.
She moaned as his lips brushed her sensitive skin.
His tongue slid along her folds, tasting her.He could tell this was her very first time, and so he wanted to be extra gentle with her. But his wolf wanted to be feral. It wanted to claim her, mark her, make her his.
He pushed his tongue deeper into her, tasting her sweetness.
She writhed beneath him, her back arching.
"Please," she whimpered. Her hands were in his hair now. She was soaking wet from arousal. He could feel her throbbing. He wanted to be inside her so badly.
Rena
Oh my gods, this sensation wasn't normal, was it? His tongue explored parts of myself. I kept sacred and hidden. I've never felt this sensation of pleasure before. My moans collided with each other with no control or signs of stopping. I wanted him deeper. I wanted him to be closer. I wanted more.
A loud bang erupted their pleasure.
"Who is there?" The alphas voice deepened into a growl.
He didn't like being interrupted, especially with his new bride sprawled out in front of him.
"Sorry to interrupt alpha," a small voice answered. "But I have an urgent message from your second."
He growled louder, his fangs bared. "Enter."
The boy rushed in, head down.
He snatched the note from the boy and read the words carefully. He dressed himself in a lose shirt and trousers. It was very bad.
"I must go," he said.
"So soon?" Rena asked.
He nodded. "A group of rogue wolves are terrorizing the neighboring packs."
"Is it bad?"
"It could be," he answered.
He watched her exhale slowly, it was almost relief. He knew he had to mark her and fully claim her tonight, but that had to wait. He would explain to her mother later. Not all was lost yet.
