Melanie looked up from her perch behind her counter and narrowed her eyes at them. The bell on her door hadn't even had a chance to ring before Raedrick had voiced the request, more a demand. And from the icy look on her face, she did not take kindly to either the abrupt nature of his words, or the tone in which he said them.
Julian followed closely on Raedrick's heels and flashed a smile Melanie's way, hoping to alleviate some of the rudeness he had shown. But if anything, that just made the scowl that had begun to form on her lips deepen.
