Doc’s Orders

I lift my right hand to the back of my neck scratching it nervously “I’ve been hearing this voice in my head and I’ve been blacking out not including having strange insatiable urges that appear to be getting worse.” I pause for a moment to recount further then remember my odd mood swings. I avoid eye contact when continuing “I also seem to be having severe mood swings on top of everything else.” The room suddenly gets eerily silent with tension but only after a minute of this do I feel as though it's suffocating me so I lift my head to see the three staring at one another intensely like they are talking without actually speaking a word. I clear my throat, gaining all three of their attention. Charles sends a split second glare before turning his full attention back to me “By chance have you spoken with your family about this?” I immediately shake my head vigorously “NO!” All three appeared to look troubled by my answer but Charles looked the most troubled. I smack my forehead with the palm of my hand jumping up to my feet “s**t!!!!!f**k!!!!!” Trent pushes his upper body off the wall looking like he is ready to face the fight of his life, then Sam steps closer with worry written across her face while Charles just looks flat out frightened from my sudden outburst. Sam cautiously pulls Charles behind her, speaking gently “What's wrong Ray?” I begin pacing quickly thinking of a way to avoid any repercussions from home when Trent suddenly appears before me cupping my face with his large warm firm hands “Love we need you to talk to us so we know what's up.” I was originally at the mall with Lizzy, and I was supposed to go home right after.” I could hear all three audibly sigh in relief. I quickly step away from Trent rushing for my leather jacket then pause searching for my keys. I throw my hands in the air in frustration “Ugh! where are my keys?” Sam’s voice has me pivot on my heels “Ray here.” within a spit second my keys fly through the air landing into my right hand. I smile “Thanks Sam I don't know what I'd do without you boo.” With that said I rush out the bedroom into the living room then up to the front door where I freeze at the sight of car lights shining outside onto the cabin. I back away instantly all the while my heart feels as though it’s a drum set playing. Everyone walked in after me curious only for Sam to swear this time “Son of a b***h she finally found it.” I glance at her then shake my head in disbelief “No no no you’ve got to be kidding me there’s literally no way on earth or in hell that she would ever think of looking here.” Sam just shakes her head “Well I guess hell just froze over then because she did.” Charles quickly passes something to Trent and Sam and from there they instantly take it then swallow it. I jump from the sound of banging at the front door followed by a demanding voice. I pale right on the spot as I listen “Raymona Sue Smith you better open this Damn door this instant and so help me God if there’s a boy in there with you you’ll be grounded for eternity young lady!!!” That gets me moving frantically searching for a way out while swearing under my breath “s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t why me why now f*****g hell.” “You better not be swearing either.” I throw my hands up in utter disbelief whispering “Dude how the f**k dose she do that!?” I turn to Trent and Charles coming up with a solution “Sam’s bedroom window is big enough for you two to climb out of now shoo get out of here.” “Ray open this door right now or else!” The next thing I know both men are entering Sam’s room quickly closing it behind them. I share a glance with Sam who apparently is finding this humorous for whatever reason. I rush forward to the front door unlocking it as well as open it. My mom stumbles forward in mid attempt to bang on the door once again. She huffs in annoyance straightening herself out before proceeding, but before she gets the chance I start “I am so so sorry mom, I swear I did not intend to break curfew nor did I mean to cause you to worry like I had.” She holds her hand up to stop me from any further rambling puzzling me further as she sniffs the air “Have you two been up to no good lately?” I’m visibly confused as I verbalize it “Huh..what no. why would you think that?” She looks at me searching my face nodding in the end. Sam jumps in to do damage control “I am so sorry Mrs. Smith Ray started getting sick after the incident at the mall so I brought her here so she could freshen up.” Mom eyes both of us suspiciously sizing up the story until she finally nods “Fine I’ll buy it this time but next time especially if it happens before the party then there will be no celebration this year and for the love of God get some air fresheners it smells like wet dog in here.” For some reason mom stiffens gagging my reaction then relaxes when nothing out of the normal jumps out. Mom sighs, rubbing her face with her hands “Ok girls since yall are already here and situated I guess It will be fine to stay the night but you better be at school monday morning or I’ll fry your hids ladies.” We nod our heads barely able to contain our excitement.” Mom looks between the two of us then focuses back onto me “Please do not forget Saturday is your party and that you need to be home early to get ready.” I smile “Don’t worry momma I’ll be there.” Mom leaves moments later leaving Sam and I alone. Well that's what I thought until Sam’s bedroom door reopens followed by both men reentering the living room. I palm my face then accept what luck had been dealt to me. I close the door, locking it back ignoring the others while walking back to my room. I close it before any of them have the opportunity to enter. At this point and time all I wanted to do was to sleep. The last couple of days have drained me mentally and physically. I toss and turn in my sleep being plagued by nightmares one second than mischievous dreams of Trent the next. One dream we were In the woods a little further away from the crowd that was near a bonfire. There were also kegs of alcohol along with food. Some people were making smores while others were partying, consuming alcohol and jamming to music. I gazed into his gorgeous dark blue eyes that almost seemed to glow. I felt as though I could get lost inside his eyes by drowning in his unbridled emotions swimming around unscathed. For some unexplainable reason I felt drawn to this sexy being. This unknown sensation begins to form starting as butterflies at my chest that then travels to my stomach multiplying ten fold. The moment we kiss my skin feels like it’s on fire and that swarm of butterflies that's in my stomach travels further south that just so happens to moisten between my legs. The way Trent has me pinned up against the tree seems to add to the appeal moistening me even more. Friday November 22nd, 2030 My alarm causes me to jump up frightened out of my vicious rotation of nightmares and wet dreams. I’m completely soaked in sweat and groan in irritation. I jump out of bed silencing my phone grabbing a fresh pair of clothes along with a towel then trek to my bathroom to take a cool shower. I take my time doing my morning routine which consists of washing my hair, body, shaving, drying off, brushing my hair, dressing, deodorant, and last but not least perfume. Once I make it to the living room I see Sam Is already waiting for me “Hey Ray Charles wanted me to tell you to take it easy for the next twenty four hours.” I nod ok and from there we get in or on our rides heading straight for school. Not even twenty minutes later we are parking in the school's parking lot and I am pulling my phone out of my pocket to text mom. _________________________________________ Ray Hey mom just letting you know I made it to school safely. _________________________________________ _________________________________________ Mom Ok sweetie. Have a nice day at school today and I will need you to come home tonight so we can prep on time for your party tomorrow. _________________________________________ ___________________________ Ray Yes ma’am. See you tonight then. ___________________________ I quickly put my phone back in my back pocket as I walked to meet back up with Sam. I wasn’t sure what or why but everything felt off somehow I just wasn’t sure how though. I mentally shake myself out of whatever stoop I was in. I snapped my fingers as I thought of something “Oh Sam that reminds me you are coming to the party right?” Sam stumbles out of her car suddenly nervous “Um well normally yeah, b..but I have a family affair to attend this year….. Mom said I couldn’t get out of it regardless of your birthday.” I stood there slightly hurt that she waited this long to mention it “Oh….. it’ll be ok then, I mean family is important so it’s cool.” Sam looks like she is about to cry. She shocks me when she rushes off leaving me all alone. I look around questioning what just happened. I mean I don’t remember the last time I saw Sam this emotional and it’s seriously starting to worry me. I end up walking alone to first period alone since Sam left me abruptly. Things seemed to digress the further the day went along. During first and second period I constantly texted Sam. Unease settled within me warning me in its own way. When third period came and went I was seconds before having a breakdown but what put the icing on the cake for me was when I saw Tret for the first time today and guess what. He was also acting like something was up too. By the time lunchtime finally arrived I had stormed out of school in desperate need of some fresh air and time alone. I find my favorite spot and slide down the tree that's there. I close my eyes savoring the gentle sounds of the light stream flowing from the school's nature reserve. It's this massive area that just so happens to be near the school but is legally protected. It is also a history site too. Legend has it that some sort of heroic figure sacrifices themself in order to save their beloved. I know I know its gooshy nonetheless this place means the world to me. No one else hangs out here because they believe it to be a cursed and haunted spot. It doesn't take me long to calm down so I choose to stay there until the warning bell rings. The sounds of nature sounds so inviting and I can’t help but to soak it in greedily. I’m jarred out of my tranquility from the warning bell sounding. I climb to my feet venturing from my tree to the small wooden bridge back to the school. I settled on keeping to myself for the rest of the day for the sake of my sanity granted most of the time I feel like I’m lacking. In the Cafeteria I hurriedly got my meal, determined to stick to my decision. Instead of staying there I take my food to my spot that way I knew for sure no one could let alone would bother me. I enjoyed my feeble meal surrounded by the sounds of nature. Before the bell rang again to signal the end of lunch I had discarded the remnants of my meal. I was also already on the way to my last class when I overheard my name in a conversation. I couldn't tell who was talking due to how soft they spoke “.........Ray needs to know before tomorrow night or it could be bad news.”
