Eternal Enemies

Thanos stayed busy trying to keep me and mom safe. Then there was the little amount of warriors within the pack fighting. Most of our warriors were outside of the pack attending patrol minus the squad that ran into my family. Lord knows what happened to them at this point. My family had black tactical pants, boots and a muscle shirt for the men and tank tops for the women. Some had belts supporting sword sheaths as dad had duel sword sheaths on his back in an X. Some of my family had a single sword on their backs. Dad drew both swords simultaneously causing the blades to connect creating a spark. Aunt Terra and Uncle James quickly join Dad’s side, also wielding their blades. I c**k my head to the side suddenly wondering why blades and not bullets, not that I am complaining I mean that does give me and my people an actual chance for survival. Mom’s voice breaks my thoughts “They are made from Silver then treated in wolfsbane as the blade is forged.” The realization hits like a blast. A faint whimper leaves my mouth. The only two who seem to express any kind of remorse is Lizzy and Ben, unlike their parents they are like walking bleeding hearts just like me. I had so many mixed emotions raging within me I was not able to function properly which very much would have been my downfall if it wasn't for Trent. I could swear that they seemed glued into place and it seriously reminded me of when I met Trent. At that moment it immediately clicked and I quickly scanned the surrounding areas to find the other two on the other end of their gazes. I strain to focus on the two my cousins are blankly staring at “I’m not sure if you two can hear me or not but you have nothing to worry about because they’re wonderful people Hunter, supernatural or not.” I noticed my two pack members slightly smirk. Oblivious to their parents or even to my dad they snap out of their trance rushing to their mates. I look behind me to mom sad knowing this is going to be difficult. It was like she already knew what was going through my mind. I focus on drowning out the havoc being waged around us, opening my eyes once I have done such stepping forward no longer weighed down by fear, pain, sorrow, doubt, or hate. My eyes slowly open up revealing my brightly shining eyes. I raise my body, refusing to appear weak any longer as I assert my dominance towards my family before me. Trent shifts back to his human form grabbing a stray pair of shorts knowing what I had in mind. A fierce growl thunders from me shaking the ground causing all humans and wolves alike to freeze in fear or curiosity. I mind link with Trent “Are you ready?” He slightly nods his head in response. I huff as I send what I want Trent to relay to my family who was against me “I do not care if you are family or not, I am giving you two choices.” Dad attempts to stomp towards me fuming in anger “How dare you you filthy b***h!” I bow up growling yet again as a warning. Trent takes a step closer to dad blocking his path to me radiating his own warning. It seems to do the trick just enough to get through to him. Dad insteads raises one of his blades pointing its tip to me as he spoke “I may not get my vengeance on you today, but that doesn't mean I won’t soon enough beast.” I huff in annoyance which instantly turns into immediate worry from his next statement. “Since I can’t get my vengeance from you I’ll get it from your deceptive b***h of a mother” My eyes widen in horror as he openly rejected Mom “I don’t know if this is how it really is done or not but either way I reject you as my mate, wife or anything else you horrid beast’s call each other.” Mom’s whimper is what sets me off and I instantly snap my body towards Dad releasing a deafening growl as I release my aura along with sending my demand to Trent who mirrors my overwhelming rage. Trent relays my demand with a threatening growl. All the while also releasing his own aura and with the combination of both of our aura’s it causes a suffocating weight to those targeted. I barely noticed the surrounding pack members who apparently were affected even though they were not the pinpointed target. Without warning a swarm of men and women shoot out from the trees blocking all from an escape. I momentarily am frightened but that fear is quickly squashed as I spot my Grandma approach from a space made from parted soldiers standing guard ready to act at a moment's notice. Her deep lines are further accented with her displeasure expressed clearly as day. She stops beside Mom kneeling down beside her. She has gloves on protecting her hands as she takes a firm grip of the shackles retrieving a key releasing Mom from her bonds. Grandma catches Mom as her upper body begins to fall to the ground. Grandma holds her tight to herself. Rage radiates from Grandma in waves causing the entire area to go silent. I c**k an eyebrow realizing who I inherited my anger issues from and here I was thinking it was from Dad all these years. His anger clearly could not touch Grandma’s. I walk up to them leaning on Mom’s legs in an attempt to help support her. Grandma glances down at me with softened eyes as she lays her on my back. Once she stands back to full attention she gives a stern order to the surrounding wolves in either packs “Protect my Daughter, Granddaughter, and Grandson in-law as they are led to safety.” Simultaneously Trent and my heads snap to Grandma’s in protest just to be silenced within the same instance by her ungiving glare. I sigh, lowering my head and turning to her guards. As I do I can hear Trent huff in annoyance as he listens reluctantly. Dad barks a hearty laugh “Look at the dog’s as they obey” I growl in anger struggling to gain back full control from my wolf. I stop in my tracks shaking with my overwhelming rage. I can tell I am slowly losing my internal battle as feral snarals leave my mouth. My claws dig further into the earth as my entire body shakes. Dad snapes what little restraint I had as he mocked Mom. All I could do is say a single word to Trent and Grandma “HELP!” I do not know how it was possible but somehow it felt like I was getting bigger, it also felt like I was getting stronger too. The only thing I could register was how furious we both were with our father’s disdain. We gently slide Mom off our back to the ground, turning around intimidatingly snarling in the process. I can see several relatives backing away with pale faces filled with horror. Dad failed to notice anyones silent retreat, nope; instead he decided to stand his ground snarling at me. I barely notice passing other wolves bowing to me as I stalk past them. Grandma gasps at my sheer size and strength radiating from me. A part of me just knew that Trent was beaming with pride which momentarily had our heart skip a beat. I shudder feeling his warm electric gentle touch running through my fur. My Grandma steals Dad’s attention. “If I were your son I would step down before you say or do something you won't be able to take back.” Dad’s response was him snorting, sending a challenging glare my way. I start to push forward only to feel Grandma’s calming hand on my fur. Her pleading eyes silently asked me to wait. My wolf nods, taking a step back patiently waiting to tear our father to shreds. In the back seat I am starting to fear my wolf’s undeniable power. My mind races a million miles an hour in every different direction with worry. All of a sudden my mind seemed to be too small and yet it appeared to shrink by the second. My wolf frightens me as she focuses on me panicking “There is nothing to fear, I am a part of you” This only fuels my panic further. Obviously she could sense this and willingly gave me a little control, understanding where my panic was steaming from. I slowly began to calm down as I watched the events around us. Grandma’s voice breaks through the silence “It really would be best if you leave now, and I’m not saying this because of what your family does.” Dad opens his mouth to speak but Grandma lifts her hand silencing him then continues refusing to give him a chance to speak before she is finished “Have stepped back long enough to register what is going on or are you so blinded right now to even notice that your daughter isn’t just another wolf.” Dad’s eyes narrow in suspicion but is immediately replaced with shock as they land on me towering over everyone around. Dad visibly gulps as he carefully evaluates the current situation. My head c***s to the side confused as to why I smell the pungent odor of fear coming from Dad. The smell of his fear only triggers my thirst for blood. My eyes illuminate swirling with my own natural color showing my own thirst for his blood. I bolted forward before I realized what was going on, easily ignoring my Grandma’s and Trent’s protesting voices. My saliva is dripping from my jaws in anticipation of the overwhelming hunger. To my surprise Trent jumps in my path just before I’m able to snap at Dad’s heels. Both me and my wolf are furious being denied our victory. We snarl seeing Red unable to care anyless who is in front of me let alone who is about to receive my wrath or the fact that he is now the same height and as strong as me now too. I snarl, snapping my jaws circling him. I feel a small pressure in the back of my mind but shake my head standing as intimidatingly as possible. I leap forward aiming for his jugular, getting even more anxious not tasting blood. The longer I’m unable to get what I want the more feral and angry I am getting. Trent uses my momentum as I jump soaring over him attempting to snap at his neck again. He kicks his hind legs up onto my stomach causing me to fly up landing with a hard thud sliding until my back rams to a large tree. I snarl completely pissed, climbing back to all fours stomping beyond fed up at this point. A familiar shooting pain earning a yelp lowering to the ground whining.
