Homecoming

Martin is now back with his people, its an early morning and they leave with Christine to the forests. They arrive at the forest and Christine chooses a different path and wants to hunt something bigger, he walks between the trees and runs into a bear, a huge one, and it did not look friendly, he meets it unexpectedly and they both stop looking at each other, he tries walking past it and it did the same, they slowly walk past each other while maintaining eye contact, each of them ready for a move. Christine now looks behind her and the bear was also looking at her, no one was willing to leave so soon, the bear wanted to watch Christine walk away but Christine also wanted to do the same, both of them did not felt like something was not right at all and Christine makes the first move and turns back to the bear. Standing on two feet, the bear starts roaring out loud. Christine jumps right at the bears and they start fighting, the bear takes off and Christine was behind him, not giving him a chance, she wasn’t going to let him get away, she follows the bear to a direction she is not aware, all she wanted was to put the bear down and without realizing it she comes into a road she has never before seen, the bear crosses the road on the opposite side and disappears into the next forest but Christine stops, she looks at the road and it was a modern road, build by the humans, it definitely was leading to some town closer, he had discovered it and the rest of his community knew nothing about it, he stops looking at each end of the road and spots a vehicle coming, he hides into the bushes and does not shift back to human for a clear vision. The vehicle was so fast and approaches the spot he was hiding and stops, a young boy gets out and runs to the place he was hiding, he looked pressed and was looking for a perfect place to pee.

“Hurry up guys, we don’t want to be late” Zeus was in the van saying to Allen as he takes a pee.

“I will be there in a minute” Zeus says as he comes to the huge bush that Christine was hiding and starts peeing, Christine carefully listens at the cars radio and he hears about the entire world war, it had come to an end and the world was finally at peace, he was not even aware of the war at first but at least he gets to hear about its ending, he cannot wait to tell Martin about this. Zeus is done and before he leaves his eyes and Christines meet. He goes quiet for a second and immediately runs away screaming out loud running to the car.

“What is it Zeus” Allen immediately opens the door and runs towards him, Amanda remains quiet with the baby in the car.

“What is it Zeus” he asks him, his heart was pumping.

“I think something is in the bushes” he says as he gets in the van.

“Whaaaat!!! Let’s get out of here. He heads back to the vehicle, they get in and Christine is still in the bushes, watching them keenly wondering how it was possible for the kid to spot him, something was not adding up at all. He slowly walks in the bushes while maintaining eye contact at the two, Amanda starts the vehicle and the doors are still open, they close the doors and drive away.

“Are you alright? What did you see at the bushes?” Amanda asks him but he pretends not to have heard her.

They drive for a long time and come to a place and they need to send Zeus and Allen back home, they were so pissed of since they were going back with the Tranquin powerless and they didn't think it could be worth any penny.They stop the car at a field and they all get out. Amanda holding her baby, Zeus takes out the Tranquin and shows it to them.

"what should i do now" he asks them since he really wanted to be back home and be done with all this.

"Both of you have to touch it for it to work" Amanda says to him.

"How did you know about all this" Allen is so surprised.

"Just do it Allen" she answers him and did not want any more questions from him. He places his hands on the Tranquin and they both look at Amanda.

"Will you be okay all by yourself and the baby" Zeus asks her.

"Of course i will, will call you incase i need any help" she says to them.

"please don't" Allen says to her and she smiles back.

"Goodbye guys, just close your eyes and think of home" she says to them and walks away leaving them still thinking whether they should do it. They both close their eyes and before Amanda could turn and look behind her, they were already gone. She slowly walks to the car with her baby, sits on the driver's seat for sometime thinking what to do now that she was left alone. She really missed Martin and she only pray he could come to her sooner, so he could see his son and kiss him on the head, that was all she wished. she looks at the baby and nows it was the only thing keeping her alive, she was going to sacrifice the rest of her life for her baby's safety, she did not wish for the wolfs to bother her baby like they bother his dad. She starts the car and slowly drive through the field back to the main road. She was so exhausted and she had to go somewhere safe where she could have some rest and breastfeed her baby.
