The Guardian Angel

"Hey, Esther? What is it? Do you know him or something?" Brian tries to ask her but she wasn't paying any attention at all and this was now confusing the entire situation, she seemed like she was stuck in a time lapse but eventually comes to her senses.

"No, nothing, I thought I knew him at first" she says and they all look confused.

"Nice to meet you guys, I need to go, see you around" Alex says and quickly joins the rest of the band members, he smiles to them from a distance, Brian and Esther slowly walk back to their table, Esther now shaking from whatever was going on but she tries so hard not to lose it, she does not understand any of this and she suddenly starts to think that she has been living a dream all along.

It goes on for long as Benjamin talks in the stage and Esther still does not believe it, she does not know why this is happening right now, she has always been thinking Benjamin must be in the parish since the day he left, Brian notices Esther was not paying attention at all, he realizes something was really bothering her.

"Hey, you are not okay my love, you seem distracted" he tries again.

"I don't know what is wrong with me Brian, I don't feel well, I think the soup I drunk earlier might be affecting me so bad" she says to Brian trying to cover up for everything.

"But you said you like it a lot" he asks him as soon as he remembers her saying these words.

"Yeah I remember saying that but I lied, excuse me, I will have to use the rest room" she says and quickly leaves, living Brian looking at her as she disappears in the crowd of people, Brian did not understand anything that was going on with her.

"Hey buddy!" someone says from behind and as he turns to look, he sees his old friend john and could neither believe this was also real. He quickly gets up and greats him with a lot of laughter and happiness.

"It's good to see you man, this is my wife Linda, Linda, this is my longtime friend Brian" he introduces his wife to Brian and Brian is really amazed of how fast john was able to get married and even settle already, it was such a miracle.

"You are with someone right?" john asks him.

"Yeah, my wife Esther" brains answers him and john stares at him in shock.

"You mean the nun? Oh my God" he was so surprised that Brian got to marry Esther.

The three of them go on with their conversation as Benjamin now takes of the stage, a lot of people run to him and hands him some autographs for him to sign and it was at this moment that Esther was coming from the rest room and in some unbelievable way, their eyes meet, Mr. Benjamin stops with what he was doing just to be sure his eyes were not playing any tricks on him, he really was sure that was Esther.

Esther comes at their table and find the three of them talking, john Brian and Linda both buried in a deep conversation.

"We need to go Brian" she says and takes her purse.

"What?" Brian asks and sees her leaving already.

"Excuse me!" he says to john and quickly follows Esther, she finds her in the car.

"Hey, are you okay?" Brian ask her now for the third time.

"I already told you I am not feeling okay Brian!!" for the first time in his life, Esther shouts at him and he finds it hard to believe that she was really the one shouting at him, he goes back to the restaurant without saying a word and tells john that they were leaving. He comes back and starts the car and drive Esther home.

"Hey Martin" Benjamin calls his personal assistant.

"I want you to follow that car and get me the address of its destination" he says to him.

"Right now sir? We should be leaving" he asks Benjamin.

"I gave you an order Martin, follow that car now" he says to him as martin gets in one of the parked car and quickly drives away, Benjamin looks at the end of the corner where the car had just headed and takes out a cigarette and lights it up, he was indeed a changed man, he was no longer the same old Benjamin, a lot had changed in him and this was just the beginning of a sequence of events that will lead to a very shocking ending, he smokes in his car but a lot of things go on in his mind at the moment, he was one changed man and every single trait that was never seen in him from the very beginning was now present in him, anger, was one word that his security guards knew about him, he was so good in public and a lot of people liked him, he had even written a book about the story of his life Finding the true one, a book that came to be liked by many, a book that carried a lot of his life struggles combined with his love life, the journey of finding his true love. Mr Benjamin was now a whole successful man and he liked telling his story everywhere he went and he lived as a role model to a lot of people who knew him.

He stays in the car waiting for martin and his patience was almost running out, he was not a winner in everything, Mr Benjamin had won the battle of succeeding in life but there was only one piece of puzzle left in his life, love, Mr Benjamin has been struggling all along to find the love of his life and this time, he wasn't ready to let it go, he believed Esther was the love of his life and he was not going to stop at all.
