Two Hunters

Once again Elvin and Laura on the move, they were left on their own almost clueless but so determined to move forward each one of them with different ambitions. They were both dressed in heavy protective garments that also helped them for their disguise as they walked by around. They took a clear look outside Christine store and made sure it was all clear and nothing suspicious was around before they left again. Elvin decided to go down to the basemen where they had been hiding and took any necessary items that could be of use. He was also lucky when he came across with an old scrolled which happened to be a map that could have been of much use to them.

“Lets go” he said to Laura hurriedly while stacking all the belongings to his leather bag.

“could we at least burry him or cover him, we cant just leave his body here it might rot and attract a lot of attention within a short time” Laura suggested as she looked around the room, at this point Elvin was so uneasy and impatient, he felt like they should be on the move but on the other side he really wanted to give Christine a better send of at least a send of with some dignity.

“No, lets hide him instead, we don’t have much time and who knows if Eric and his men are still close”. They decided to carry Christine’s body and wrapped it with a big piece of cloth they found in the room. They carried the body and locked it inside the basement and walked out of the room as if nothing had happened.

The sun was now on its edge of setting and these two young teens were on the run again not knowing whatever creature they would meet since these were the days where different types of creatures where in great competition of power. They walk around the village and notice how the people living around are so religious and seem to be protecting themselves from strangers. Elvin takes a look at the old map he was hiding in his bag and searches for any possible clues. Suddenly Laura notices her home and points it to Elvin.

“Here it is, this is my home, in around ten hours of walking we could be there by sunrise” shouted Laura who seemed to be so happy by seeing this. She starts running down the road heading away from the market as Elvin followed her not knowing whether he should be happy or unhappy because he was so confused at the moment.

They walk for a long distance in some deep silence. All that could be heard was the sudden screaming of different wild animals deep in the forest ahead of them and this was the only way they had to go through so as to reach Laura’s home. They were both tired and hungry at the same time but they had no choice but to keep moving. As they approached the forest which was now covered in total darkness, they could clearly sense that it was filled with a lot of wild animals. Elvin suddenly walks in the woods ahead of Laura.

“It seems you are not afraid of the dark” Shouted Laura as she followed him slowly inside the forest.

“Well, you forget that am related to one of the inhabitants here” Elvin said as he laughed.

“Ooow, I see, that’s great, hope we wont have a hard time getting a long with them.” Said Laura as she followed Elvin who was now walking faster than usual.

“wait, you can see in the dark?” asked Laura.

Elvin turned slowly and smiled to her, his eyes were glowing same to those of a huge cat in the dark.

“wow, how comes I knew nothing about that.”

Elvin was able to go around the forest easily since he had are really good sight and could see clearly in the dark like any ordinary wild cat or a wolf. They reach next to a dark cave that was filled with a lot of stones and decided to take a rest, they were almost halfway their journey and so tired that they needed to look around for some food. Laura believed in herself to be a great hunter and took matters in her own hands.

“You start up some fire, I will be back” said Laura.

“But how, I don’t..”

Laura left before Elvin could even finish explaining. She walks around the woods slowly while trying to locate a perfect prey. She has got a very strong scent and uses it to look for any nearby animal to hunt. Silence covers the entire spot she was standing and a branch is heard breaking in a distance behind her. She quickly turns her head and looks behind in a fixed position, not moving, she was groaning fiercely as she sensed something behind the far woods. Following her scent as she creeped around, she notices a deer behind a huge tree from the glowing of its eyes.

The deer was trying to hide away from her but all its efforts in vain. Suddenly it starts running while she follows it as fast as possible. Laura was so fast and strong as she jumped on top of several trees in a mind blowing way. She was so strong and moved very quickly and jumped on top of the deer scratching it with her sharp nails. Within no minute the deer was down groaning in pain as it struggled for its life since it was pretty wounded on its back. Laura finished it off by breaking its neck and carried it back to the cave. She finds Elvin almost getting done with the fire.

"Am back big cat, you're too slow" she mocked him while smiling. She throws the deer on the flow and licks the blood of her fingers. Elvin who was starring at her finishes lighting up the fire and prepare for the meal since they were to get going.
