My Wolf Friend

“You better get out of here now strong guy, you are becoming a nuisance to us” the old man says to Eric as he takes his last sip of water. He walks to the old man and stands facing him.

“Look, I came here not to bring any conflict but I was so thirsty, I have no problem with you at all” he says in a soft voice so he could be seen as a humble guy.

“That’s all right, haven’t you gotten what you wanted already” the old man asks him.

“Oooh nooo, come on, atleast show some hospitality, you can’t be that rude to any visitor, I could perhaps use some rest before I go on with my journey, look at me” he says and turns around and shows his torn robe to the old man, he looked so messed up that someone could mistake him for a mad man.

“Where have you been mister, you look terrible” the old man asks him.

“I was attacked by bad people, they destroyed my home and I was lucky enough to get away before they could destroy me too you see this wounds” he says to the man as he shows his arms and back, the other people were already gathering around to look at him.

“So where are you headed, and what’s your name, you haven’t told us your name” the old man says to cut the entire ling long story short.

“My name is Eric” he answers him.

“Okay, I am Fredrick but they call me Fred, I protect them from any threats because they are my family” the old man says as he points at the people surrounding them.

“No one has brought any chaos in this place or neither have we been attacked for such a long time” he says to Eric.

“I bring no harm at all, look at me” he says and everyone looks at him and wonders why he was wearing such an expensive robe.

“Well these aren’t mine at all, I had stolen it from a friend earlier, believe me guys, in fact I can help you protect them if you let me stay, I am strong enough to take care of things” he says and the old man smiles looking at his wounds.

“This was so unexpected but see, I survived, believe me I am very strong” he says moving close to Fred’s face and Fred could already tell he was a wolf and he wasn’t lying at all, he could smell his breath so easily and it wasn’t any ordinary breath.

“Okay, we will see about that, but I don’t think its safe at all since we all don’t know you, there is a hideout at the far end of the field, I suggest you spend the night there” the old man says and everyone looks at him surprised with his decision, it was never easy for him to welcome anyone to this place.

“That’s not a problem Fred, I am so grateful for that opportunity, I promise to stick to my words and your rules to” he says to him smiling and shaking Fred’s hands.

“I will be watching Eric, and don’t forget, that house is scary and lonely, I hope you are able to deal with fear” Fred adds and Eric smiles in response. He slowly walks smiling at everyone and heads to the end of the field where there was only one small house standing at the end, all the houses were at the other side of the trees and this felt so awkward to him but he did not have any other choice at all, it was his only option to rest and think of a way to deal with his enemies, the enemies he was trying to hide from Fred, he never knew of Laura might track him down but he needed to rest. He gets in the crooked house and it looked quiet better than he had expected, a bed was sitting in the middle of the room and nothing else was in the room except for some torn clothes on the floor. He throws himself at the bed put himself to some deep sleep before the day could end. The rest of the people go on with whatever they were doing without worrying about him at all. Fred is sited on a huge stone as he looks at the house and wonders what he might be doing, he wanted to see if it was possible for him and a wolf to get along since it wasn’t possible from the past, they really hated each other a big deal but he wanted things to be so different, he was the only vampire and the people he was protecting were all humans, it was so unique but he has a story behind him that made things turn out this way, for years, he has been staying and protecting this people and the reason is only known to him.

Darkness comes and Eric gets up from his bed, his head is now lighter, the sleep seemed to have helped a lot. He gets out of the house and stretches his muscle not until he realizes something in the grasses, he suddenly stops and looks through the grass.

“So scared huh!” Fred says as he comes out of the tall grasses.

“Yeah, but you really scared the hell out of me” Eric responds.

“Why say that, you sais you were fearless remember, unless there is something you are not telling me Eric, risking the lives of these poor humans” Fred says to him and Eric shakes wondering how smart this old vampire could be.

“Nothing Fred, everything is all good” Eric quickly says to calm him down.

Fred calms down and doesn’t say a word but he totally did not believe him.

“I am off to do something, do you want to come” he says as he starts walking away.

“Yeah, of course” Eric says as he follows him. The two get in the forest and disappear in the darkness.

On the other side Elvin is back at the Eric’s palace and spots some blood trails and he immediately knows that is Eric’s blood. He follows the trail to the woods.
