The Human Alpha

A love confession

Sarah is standing behind everybody and stops the people, she wanted to see father Edward's body for the last time before he could be buried but the priest humbly tells her it is impossible and no one else is allowed to see father Edward's body because of the condition that it was in.

They go on with the burial and come to the grave. They sing a short song and lower down the body. Everybody around, and people who were so close to him could not hold back their tears for it was their last sight and send of father Edward. The grave is filled again with sand and the priest finishes the ceremony. Every walks slowly to their respective vehicle. Esther cannot believe that it is finally over since it was all painful and they needed some more time to heal. Brian is still with her and has not left her sight and this could imply something to the rest of the people but he did not bother about it all.

It is now the time for them to part ways and go bqck home. Father Edward's ex wife is seen driving away almost emediatelly and this gives the priests enough reason not to trust her at all and even at one time they felt like she contributed in father Edward's death unknowingly and they promise to research on it afterwards. Esther and Brian head to the priest and she is advised on the next move the church has to make inorder to keep on the orphanage running. Esther is left incharge for the moment and given enough advise by the priests on how to run everything and they are left to go.

They approach the bus and take their seats ready to go back.

"I do not like that young man at all" The younger priest says as they watch them heading back to the bus.

"I honestly do not understand his function at the orphanage, infact i don't even know his name". The other priest replies and they both agree to have seen him sticking up with Esther the entire time, it was all the same back in the orphanage and they do not feel good about it since Esther was a good young lady and they never wanted her to be mislead or misguided by anybody and they promise to keep an eye on him. They walk into the church as they keep on talking. The priests did not know that thIs was the last time they are seeing Esther dressed as a nun and so dedicated to her work. They did not clearly know what the future held and only kept believing in what they wanted to believe on. Esther's mind was now completely on another level. Everything was never going to be the same on her side now that father Edward has left and she knew it would take a long time for the church to bring the next priest and she was just not ready yo wait that long at all.

They travel back to the orphanage and everybody is so silent. Esther's phone rings and she reaches for her purse to check it. She realises it is the same number that had called her two days ago. Brian who is next to her pretends not to be looking at her phone but secretly looks to see every single detail. She receives the call and a young mans voice is heard. They don't get to understand each other and she hangs up the phone. Brian peeks again and to his surprise the number seems to be very familiar. He is so sure that he takes out his pretending to be dialing and looking for something.

Their was only few people who had Esther's contact and he was one of them and new no one again. He thinks about it and his thoughts finally gives him the answer. The one and only first person to ever have Esther's phone number and this is the person who sold it to her.

"Oooh, am gonna kill you John"

"What!" Esther hears him whispering and asks him.

"Nothing at all am just so stressed up about everything Esther" he responds trying to hide the shock on his face. He quickly gets back to his phone and to his surprise, the number does not match John's phone number at all. " But that was totally John's voice, i know John's voi" he says to himself. He is so annoyed and wonders who might be calling Esther and this freaks him out you could even think that they were already married and he was on a mission to catch his cheating wife. It was all sounding weird and funny at the same time but in any case Brian could found out that it was John, he was going to deal with him in whichever way possible so as to keep him from contacting Esther at all.

They finally arrive back at the orphanage and the children run inside at they seemed like they really had missed the place even though they had just been away for a few hours only.

Everybody is back and they resume their normal activities almost emediatelly. The cooks go back and begin preparing a meal for the children and Peter also resumes his work at the gate. Esther and Brian take some tome together as they have some chat and Brian makes a decision to tell Esther about his feelings towards her. They are seated on the bench outside the building and no one is around, only the two of them. Everybody else was away minding his own business.

"Esther?" He calls her name and from the tone that she can already tell that something is up. She looks him straight into his eyes and can already tell everything. She had never fallen in love ever in her life but she knew what Brian was about to say.

"I love you Esther"

he finally gets to say it after keeping it for days and days and this was the moment.
