A Warm Entrance

She surprisingly gets a lot of hugs and greetings from the children who saw her as their big sister or something. All these time the person they have been waiting for is here and this made them extremely happier than never. Esther has a good time with them as she gets to know each and everyone of them as they engage in different conversations. They could be heard laughing out loud in several occasions. Father Edward was sitting beside watching them with ahuge smile on his face,he starts seeing that she was going to be of a greater impact to the opharnage and who knows maybe the society too

"Father your dinner is ready" a voice came from behind him and caught him unaware. It was sarah the woman esther saw in the kitchen. She was one quiet person and no one could hardly spot a smile on her face for along time. She was so private and she rarely spoke to anyone at times when she was free. A lot of the children were afraid of her for no reasons just because of her face that looked unfriendly from the look. A lot of people say that her nature might be from an old story about the death of her parents who were her only family and the people she ever loved. Some numerous stories are heard about the death of her parents and people say that she might be living with somepain and regreats that she could not save her parents during their killing at their house.

Father Edward goes ahead to the dinning room to have his dinner as Magdalena remains behind looking at the children flirting with esther. Laughter was filled all over the roomand noises everywhere. She remains staring at them as esther suddenly sports her while she was laughing at one of the childs jole. She suddenly stops laughing and realizes sarah looking at her. Sarah immediately leaves the room and goes back to the kitchen. Esther suddenly changes and her mood also changes to calm,she wonders what could be on sarahs thoughts and it somehow terrifies her.

"hey auntie,what is it,you look uneasy?" peter a young and jovious boy approaches her and asks her. Peter is one happy child around of eleven years of age and is always happy in around all situations. He is a curious child and does not always hesitate when he discovers something unusual or uneasy.

"nothing is wrong,everything is okay,whats your name?" esther asked her as she bends towards her because he was a pretty short boy.

"my name is Peter Allen, I am so happy that you are hear auntie,this is such a good place" said peter innocently. He was one of the most loved child in nthe orphanage because of his personality. Esther looked in his eyes and immediately knew that he was a good child just from the look at his innocent face.

"can I nwalk you around auntie, I would like to show you a lot of amazing things you've not seen" peter asked politely and from his innocent smile on the face esther found it hard to resist but decided to walk with him around the compound. The orphanage was build in a large space and its building seemed to be strong enough since it is believed to have been built by one of the best masons in the olden days. It was well decorated with flowers that were beautifully maintained by the children on a daily routine by watering them. Peter takes esther around every corner of the orphanage and he seems really good at exploring things and describes them well. Esther is amazed by this young boy's courage and could not help but admire her personality all along.

"what do you wish to become when you grow up peter?" she asked him as they approach a bench so they could take a short rest.

"uuuhm,I have a lot of things in mind auntie,its hard to make a good choice now since am interested in almost everything" peter said while laughing.

"everything like what peter, you seem to be a very bright young boy, how far have you gone with your studies?" she asked him again curiosly before he could even find the correct words to reply her. Peter seemed reluctant to answer the question and esther suddenly noticed the change of his mood and knew that the story accompanying it was not happy one. Peter started narrating his story when he was still in school and happily studying daily when he was staying with his mom. He was a very hardworking boy and always topped in almost every exam in his class. All his life he had never come to meet or know his father and the only person he knew and loved was is mother. His mother was struggling in doing anything according to her efforts to find at least anything to sustain her and her child. She struggled with a lot of businesses both legal and illegal and as a result she ended up building a lot of debts with different people. One day as peter was coming from school he meets police and an ambulance surrounding their house and from a distance he already knew that he was an orphan. On that day his mother was killed by some guy whom she owned a debt and that's how peter lost his loving mum,he was later brought to the orphanage and had now completed one year at the facility.

Esther was touched by ythe small boys story and sympathized with him so much. She took him and he layed on esthers lap as she comforted him.

"I have always wanted to be a business man in future so I can leave to achieve what my mum never achieved" peter said in a low tone his head on his hands.

"don't worry peter, you are avery strong boy,and you will be one of the most succesfull businessmen in future,all you have to do is trust in yourself and let nothing drag you behind".

They both stood up from the bench esther holding his arms and joined the others in the dinning hall for dinner.
