The Wrong Hands

“Open the door or I am going to break it into pieces Ana!” Alen says as he knocks hardly on Ana’s room but gets no response, he then moves two steps backwards and pushes the door open with his left shoulder and ends up falling in Ana’s room, the room was empty, she was nowhere to be seen, he gets up and looks everywhere thinking she was hiding or something but her sister was not in the house at all, she was heading to the market, walking as fast as she could, a backpack on his back.

She was super exited and for a moment she came to pass the guards who were all over the market in search of the Tranquin and with much confidence like she knew nothing at all, she walked straight passed them and went on with her long walk.

Zeus on the other side was so confused, he stops and looks back, there was no way he was going to leave without the Tranquin at all, he looks back at Alen’s window, just a stone throw away and choses to do the unthinkable, he plans to attack Alen and force him to hand it over to him, he knew very well how dangerous it was for anyone to be found with the Tranquin but that could not hold him behind when he thought of the enormous fortune he would get after selling it to Fleki, he would have to change his life, perhaps find a new apartment for him and Curtis, start a whole new life, he turned and ran as fast as he could, towards Alen’s house, nothing at all was going to stop it, the picture of everything he wished fo flowing through his head as he ran back, all he could think was to get the Tranquin and that was all, it belonged to him and no one else, he came out with the plan and he could not let anyone else enjoy his hard work.

Alen walks around the house looking for Ana, his anger was now getting out of hand and his body reacts to the emotional state he was in, his soft skin turns hard and scales form all over his body, a self protection mechanism that always happened to him and of course his dad and Ana too, he tried to control his emotions but it was totally impossible, his eyes, hands and tongue now turning into some human reptile, he couldn’t bare the anger and his sisters stubbornness. He decides to sit down for a while, outside the house and takes a deep breath, after some few seconds, he slowly comes back to his human form and walks back to his room. Alen takes his black coat and gets ready to sneak out of the house once again, for the second time today, he prepares to go and get his sister before the guards could get her or before she could do something stupid that would put his family in trouble.

He places his left foot at the window and prepares to jump, he lets himself loose so he could land on the road next to their wall but he does not move at all, something holds him tightly on the neck and he can hardly breathe.

“You cant hide anymore you traitor, give it to me now or I will strangle you to death right now!!” Zeus says as he stands behind him, still holding him tightly on the neck from behind.

“Where is it?” he asks him and realizes he could not talk, he pulls him backwards from the window and drops him down in his room, he heads to the door to make sure it was locked and nobody else could come in and gets back to Alen who was coughing uncontrollably.

“Stop with the drama Alen” he says as he squats next to him.

“I came with the entire plan Alen, why are you being so mean, you played a very stupid role in stealing it you know, I am the mastermind behind it and it belongs to me!!” he says bitterly and raises his fist to hit him.

“Wait Zeus!! Let’s make a deal” he begs him to stop, Alen knew he that he was not only given the gift of super intelligence but he was strong too, he could easily take Zeus out but he did not want any trouble with his parents.

“I am not here for any deals Alen, give me the Tranquin and I will leave your house” he says to him, his fist still begging to punch Alen.

“Let’s split the fortune equally after we sell it, that’s all Zeus, lets share it equally” he says and now Zeus hits him ruthlessly on the face, he hits him heavily and now Alen choses to defend himself, with his strength he lifts Zeus up from the floor they destroy everything in the room as they fight heavily, like two bulls fighting in a shed and finally Alen holds him on the wall by his neck.

“Listen Zeus, stop this, I don’t have the Tranquin, trust me, but I think I know who took it!” he tries to calm him down and now Zeus stops the struggling and he releases him slowly and he drops on the ground, Alen who was now in a different form turns back to human and sits on his bed.

Zeus looks at him in the eyes, both of them breathing so heavily and for the first time, Zeus could tell that he wasn’t lying at all.

“What do you mean your sister has it, do you know what the Tranquin can do?” he asks him as he moves next to him.

“She is such a stubborn kind of girl, I guess she stole it from my closet, she is not in her room, we need to find her Zeus, trust me this time” he says as he gets up and gives Zeus his hand to shake, Zeus thinks for a while and finally shakes his hand.

“Let’s go!”
