Caring for the future

Benson arrived at home that evening and found that she had engaged in some work.
"Hello dear,how was your day at work, you seemed to be thinking a lot,hope everything is okay?" Tran asked him having already noticed him will all the thoughts.
"I am good my dear,how about you?"
"As you can see dear,I am doing stronger as the baby is even growing bigger."she then couuntinued while touching her stomach,"look! The baby has really grown,I am becoming bigger each and every day.We are going to be blessed dear!"
"That's very inspiring and good to hear love,but don't you think that the work might be too heavy for you? At these moments you should be just be doing some light works."
"I agree with you dear, only that I have been bored all along and decided to clean the compound. I have been waiting for you and now that you are at home,I can wait for us to relax together as we think about our future."
"Speaking of future,i have been thinking of something,we should sit down and have a talk dear?"
"When,like now?" Tran asked.
"If you can make it now,the better. it's so important and determines of how we are going to live and our future plans too.
"
"Okay,let me just finish my work,I'll catch up with you at the living room. Kindly go there and have something to drink and freshen you up as you wait for me dear."
"Okay dear, I am patiently waiting for you."Tran said.
She then finished sweeping the remaining part then placed the brooms at their respective places.
She went to the living and found him relaxed just as his late father did.
Tran went and sat just by him at the same sofa.
She then asked,"what that thing that you wanted us to talk about dear?"
"About our future my love."
"What about the future,is the future not bright?I don't understand."
"The future has always been a bright one, however this is not a guarantee.We should still plan how we are going to live in future."
"Okay,am beginning to now understand."
"You see Tran,one thing that we are very sure of,is that is never secret at all that we are very much challenged economically. And very soon you are going to deliver one of our own, and since children come with responsibilities. We have find a way of how we are going to nuture it and give everything that it deserves just like the other children."
"True dear,it must never lack,I don't wish him or her to grow the life like the ones we did even though it made us in becoming who we are, very good and strong people indeed."
Tran added.
"I swear by myself that our child is never going to lack anything in life,I will be responsible."Benson vowed though it came wrongly to Tran,she thought that he was going to do something dangerous just like the past in his quest for getting some cash.
"Don't tell me that you are going back to the drug business dear?"she asked so worriedly.
"No my dear,am very much done with that,it is now my past."
Tran was relieved and at least cooled down.
"What is now going to be your plan now that we have all moved out from the dirty drug business?"
"I still don't know my dear.I am still thinking about it, honestly,I am much confused,I need your help in this than never before."
He asked her for the advice, over all the times of being together every piece of advice that she gave him impacted greatly in his life.
"My dear, you are such a hard-working man with a lot of brains,I believe that construction work is never your thing,maybe you should apply for a loan and start a business and run it just like you were running an empire, this time you will be doing it for the right course."
Benson was keenly listening to the advice and appeared to have taken so much from it.
"Just take your time and go and think about it dear." She told him then left him to continue taking his rest as she seemed to be going for a shower.
By the time she was done with the shower, Benson had already made his decision
"I have been thinking about your advice,and I think that I have now made a decision. I have to apply for a loan."
"That's it my dear,let us apply for it and invest in making things work in our family.I am promising you that this is never going to fail us,we are survivors."
"Indeed we are,we have been through a lot already and there is still a lot to be done.It seems like the journey has just started. Hope we are going to have a happy ending.
Benson also went and took the shower and by the time he was already done,if had already reached 7:00pm and they had an early supper and finally go to bed.
Before falling asleep,Tran had to ask him.
"My dear, about the loan, where are you going to get it from,and will it be guarantee?"
"It is not guaranteed but I know of someone who can help me with that."
"Who is this person that you are talking about?" Tran asked.
"My employer at work,my contractor,Mr Benzos."
"Ooh! That's nice,though I barely know him."
"He is definitely a good man even with all the children that he has,can you believe that he has more than twenty children and still expecting more!"Benson surprisingly said,"he must be sick!!"He added.
Tran was just left bursting in laughter as she thought that these were just stories that he had cooked for the purposes of pleasing her.
She then realized that Benson was indeed serious and never believed it too.
"So it is true!"she thought and got so suprised,this must be a very interesting man.
"I would like to accompany you in pleading for the cash my dear," she said as she had wanted so badly to know who this man was.
