I gripped the champagne glass tighter than necessary just to keep a bit of the slight anxiety I felt under control. I want to leave the room where we are gathered. I want to go upstairs, reach our room, and lock myself in for the rest of the night with Rebecca. I don't care that my parents are here. I don't care that my siblings are here. I don't even care that my best friend, his family, or some members of the Brotherhood, who have been loyal to us for years and have respected the pact with blood, are here.
