Sandra's POV:
Finally, the day came.
I didn't wish for this to happen. I didn't want this to happen. I was in the makeup room while the stylist rubbed my face with excess makeup. It wasn't smoky like my normal routine makeup, but this was wedding-like and beautiful.
The hair stylist came in and fixed my hair. She dressed it in a chignon style, making my blonde hair stand high and fixed. I looked at the person in the mirror who didn't look like me.
Mother stood at the corner, looking. She knew better not to speak much because we still weren't on talking terms. I tried not to frown.
"You look beautiful," she said from the shadows.
I gave a sad smile, looking at myself again. I've always dreamt of my wedding day and this was never what I planned. "Thank you," I whispered to her, my throat already dry.
"You need water?" Mother sensed everything.
"I'm good."
The makeup artist came back and made a few brushes and it was more than beautiful. My gown that hung on a mannequin was drawn to me. I tried it on and for some reason, it was bigger than the way it was at the salon.
"Maybe it's the buttons," Mother offered. She helped me out and buttoned the back of the dress, yet, it was still big and pulled.
"What are we going to do now? Did you lose ten pounds from Wednesday till now?"
Someone knocked on the door. "We are late, what are you people still doing in there?" It was father's voice, he was already agitated.
"Sandra's dress can't fit properly," Mother yelled over the door.
"Didn't she try it on before buying?"
We found our way to patch things up, but I was really loose. I was uncomfortable at my own wedding. Wasn't it the sign of bad luck already?
We got to the church and Father got out, waiting for me to step out with my bogus, fancy gown. I did it with flowers in my hand. I took my father's hands and we walked down the aisle.
I saw people I hadn't seen before. Dignitaries from all over the world, rich men, business men, tycoons… all at my wedding. Daren was right.
"That's the prime minister of England," Father whispered in ear as we caught the glance of a man with a bushy mustache.
We got to the altar and Father took his seat at the front pew. Daren stood right in front of me, winking at me. Fury boiled in me but I concealed it with a smile.
We looked above ourselves and turned our gaze to the priest who was joining us. He was a bald man, well into his sixties.
"Today, we join Mr. Pattinson and Miss Lupin in holy matrimony. If there is anything you have against the joining of these two, speak now or forever hold your peace." The priest's eyes were focused on the congregation, looking for who to annul the marriage.
When there was none, he turned back to us. "You may now say your vows."
I gritted my teeth as I promised to love Daren. That was the opposite—I seethed with hate at the thought and sight of him. He said his vows and slid a ring in my ring finger.
"You may now kiss the bride," the priest told him.
Blood drained off my face. Looking at him, dressed in his wedding tux, he was as handsome as ever. His salt and pepper hair shot about the collar of the suit and his eyes were glittering.
He smirked then leaned in to kiss me. He was no doubt a good kisser. I wondered how good he was in bed and the thought made me blush. Maybe he wasn't to be hated, after all.
As she walked down from the aisle, I couldn't help but smile at the guests. This was truly a splendid wedding. My eyes were fixed on the crowd that I didn't realize when I stepped on my wedding dress.
Remember it being loose?
As I stepped at the hem of the gown, it pulled down, revealing my white bra that I wore inside. Shame trickled down my body as two hundred guests witnessed the epic fail.
I was stunned, shocked, and wished that the ground would take me in. I quickly raised up the dress and dragged it to cover my body, but the deed has already been done. People brought out their phones and took pictures of my pulled gown, laughing at the attendance of another "bad luck" wedding.
Tears plastered on my face, trickling from my eyes. No doubt I'd be the talk of the town on social media. Paparazzi caught everything. I didn't wish for my wedding to turn out this way.
Daren, aware of the situation, scooped me from the ground and carried me in his arms. I've embarrassed him already. I could see the look on his face.
As we left the church, my eyes caught her face. The woman I'd met at the bridal shop, the one who picked the gown, the one who held it for me when I was aware.
Could she have done anything?
Daren was angry, without a doubt. We were at his house already, the evening already creeping in. I was on the bed that was dressed for our wedding night. Scenting candles were around us, and a beautiful, slow music played in the background.
"What a shame, what you did out there," he said, crossed.
"A shame?" I asked. "A shame? I'm the one whose gown got stripped, I'm the one with shame."
"And I'm your husband, so I get part of your shame."
"Too bad," I hissed.
He smiled. "So, wife, how do we make love tonight?"
I laughed at him in his face. "Me? You? s*x? That's not going to happen."
"You think so?" One by one, he unbuttoned his tuxedo, then his shirt, revealing his abs. "You might have to take off that wedding dress of yours."
"I'm not going to do it," I said vehemently.
"Let's see…"
He walked up to me in his intimidating body. His smile made my knee wobble, and then, I realized my husband was handsome. I was lost in his eyes and I could see nothing else. Slowly, he brought his nose to mine and locked it, then our lips cradled each other.
I didn't want it at first. My brain begged my body to refuse him, not to hold his body and feel the heat from his lined chest, but I was deaf to my brain. My heart called him.
He kissed me softly. Then, I couldn't help but return it, seeing he was a good kisser and his breath was minted. We went back and forth kissing each other, hands into our hair.
Then, he yanked off my wedding dress, revealing my white bra that the whole world saw today. He placed his hands at my back and unhooked it with his hands, like he knew how they worked perfectly.
My breasts were in the open, and I still couldn't turn back. I touched them and he kissed him. Then, his hands slid down to my lower back, then into my panties. He squeezed my bare ass and brought him closer to me.
"You were saying? I thought you said you didn't want this."
I was moaning in his mouth, too pleased to refuse an outstanding offer. "Well, I wasn't thinking properly."
"There you go." He kissed me one more time, our tongue caressing each other.
His hand went circumferential around the band of my panties, then it went to the front and he dug his hands further.
"Let's make this night a pleasant one, shall we?"
I laughed, filled with pleasure. I knew I would regret it in the morning, but I had to enjoy my wedding night. At least, I deserved to enjoy my wedding night.
We couldn't stop kissing and cradling each other now that we were bare and naked. His hands performed wonders on my breast, then his mouth, sending me to several orgasms.
I sensed someone was watching us so I looked up at the window, then I saw her. The woman at the bridal store, the woman that was at the wedding.
The very woman that made my wedding a living hell, she was watching us with hate in her eyes. I could see it.
Later, I would know her name was Sophie. And she would turn out to be my worst nightmare.
But that night, I didn't care. I rode on Daren like he was the only thing in the world.
