When Layla switched from the call with Daniel to the other line with her Granny Little, she was apprehensive. Granny Little had previously told Layla that she was going to the hospice to visit her father that morning like she did every weekday. Layla was hoping that this call was going to be good news about her father. Typically, Granny Little stayed at the hospice until visiting hours were over. Marcel would pick her up and drive her home.
