I held Brax in my arms, begging for him not to leave me. I felt power surging around me as rage filled my body, the darkness inside me wanting me to give into it and seek revenge. His life was slipping away—I could feel it, but there was still a small part of him that was holding on, and I knew that that part was because of me and the love that he had for me.
