There was a soft knock on my door. I pulled myself together and stood up to answer it. My heart raced—who could it be now? Opening the door, I was met with Brax's concerned eyes. "Luna, are you okay?" he asked softly, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. "I… I don’t know," I replied, trying to swallow the lump in my throat. I moved back to the bed and sat down, my legs feeling weak. Brax walked over and sat beside me, his presence a calming force amidst the storm of my emotions. "I heard what happened with Jack," he said quietly. "That must have been incredibly hard." I nodded, not trusting myself to speak. Brax's hand reached out, gently covering mine. His touch was warm and comforting. "He sees me as the villain, and maybe... maybe I am." Brax shook his head vehemently.
