Sasha arrived at the coffee shop, spotting Emily already seated at a table. As she approached, she noticed Emily's furrowed brow and fidgeting hands.
"Hey, what's going on?" Sasha asked, concern etched on her face.
Emily glanced around the coffee shop before leaning in. "I found something. Something big."
Sasha's curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Emily hesitated before handing Sasha a folder filled with documents and photographs. "I was going through my mom's old files, and I stumbled upon this."
As Sasha flipped through the contents, her eyes widened. The documents mentioned her family, but the details seemed...off. A photograph showed her parents in a place she'd never seen before.
"What is all this?" Sasha asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I think it's about your family's past," Emily said. "There's something they're not telling you."
Sasha's mind reeled as she processed the information. What secrets was her family keeping? Why?
"I need to talk to my parents," Sasha said, determination rising within her.
Emily nodded. "Be careful, Sasha. You don't know what you might uncover."
As Sasha left the coffee shop, the folder clutched tightly in her hand, she felt like she was standing on the edge of a cliff, staring into an unknown abyss.
