We made it to the Grey Moon pack house safely, their beta waiting for us at the airport once we got off the plane. It was dark out, and pretty late, with most of the pack sleeping by the time we arrived. We were shown to our rooms and left to unpack and get some sleep.
I put all of my clothes neatly in the dresser that was in my room, before heading to the bathroom that was connected to unpack my toiletries. My room was nice, with 1 green wall and 3 white, with a plush cream carpet. A big king sized bed sat in the middle of one wall with a TV mounted on the opposite wall. The bathroom was big, with a garden tub, separate shower and a sink with a lot of counter space. I noticed there was a door on the other side of the bathroom as well, concluding that I shared a bathroom with Levi, as his room was on that side of mine.
When I finished unpacking, I could feel my eyes growing heavy, I changed into my sleep shorts and tank top and dropped into bed, sleep over taking me quickly.
My nightmare joining me soon after I fell asleep. Reliving as the black eyed rogue removed my blanket, revealing my body that was just hitting maturity. Shaking, and keeping my eyes closed, I could feel his breath on me, taking in my scent. Crying harder I tried to kick him away, but felt his weight as he moved on top of me. I could feel the bulge in his pants as he did, knowing this monster was fueled by the fear he could scent off of me. I stopped moving, paralyzed with fear, knowing I had no control over what was coming. I felt his face next to mine, taking in my scent some more, feeling him get more excited with the more fear he smelt on me.
Where was everyone? Why hadn't anyone noticed a rogue in our home? Why had Noone tracked him here yet? I had tried to mind link everyone, but it was like Noone was listening.
I heard a rip, and felt the cold from the room on my chest, making my sobs come harder, praying to the Moon Goddess to send someone to save me. I wasn't naive, I knew what the rogues plans were for me.
Suddenly I was shaken awake again. Looking around my dark room I began to panic, still half stuck in my nightmare. Screaming out, my mind thinking the rogue was back again, when I felt strong arms wrap around me.
My bathroom door flew open and Levi rushed into the room turning the lights on. I started trashing, trying to be released from the grip of whoever had a hold of me.
"LET ME GO!" I screamed, sending a headbutt behind me, connecting with something. Finally I was released and ran into the bathroom shutting and locking both doors. Sliding to the floor, trying to calm my breathing, I could hear talking from inside my room.
"Man I didn't mean to scare her, I was in the hall and could hear her thrashing around in her bed and whimpering, I thought something was wrong. When I saw she was still asleep, I tried to wake her up," a man I didn't recognize said.
I could hear Levi sigh, "She's had it rough man, she gets nightmares, but waking her at a certain point is only worse for her, and for your nose. I think it would he best if you left so I can try and get her back to sleep."
I heard footsteps, then a door opening and closing. Followed by a knock on the bathroom door by Levi," He's gone Sidney, please come back out."
I sighed, still shaking, I sat there for another minute before I got up and unlocked the door. Levi looked relieved when he saw me walk into the room, patting the bed next to him, "Come on, I'll stay tonight, let's get some sleep."
I curled up next to him, falling into a deep, dreamless sleep that didn't happen often. Only when I'm purely exhausted.
The next morning when I woke up, Levi was already gone. Listening closely I could hear him moving around in his room. I gathered my things, and went into the bathroom to take a shower to wash the awful night away.
When I was done, I knocked on Levi's door, ready to head down and get some breakfast, starving after missing dinner last night while we were traveling.
"Come on, I'm a growing girl, I need sustance," I heard Levi chuckle before opening the door. "All you do is eat sid," he said. "You will he okay for the minute it will take us to walk to the dining room." I laughed, punching him in the arm as we made our way down the stairs.
When we entered the dining room, I was met with the most amazing aroma of bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit and so much more. We grabbed our plates and loaded them at the buffet style breakfast, the whole time feeling eyes burning into the back of my head.
Leaning in I whispered to Levi, "Who was the guy in my room last night? I can feel him staring at me." With that, Levi turned to look behind me, confirming it was in fact the man who had been in my room. "That's Alpha Jerrod." I state plainly. Why had the Alpha been in our hall, and in turn, my room? While pondering this, I sat down as far from him as I could at the table, deciding to ignore him and focus on my food instead.
With so much noise, and so many different smells, it was hard to concentrate on anything, and having a conversation with Levi was near impossible. But the snippets of conversations I heard was that the unmated wolves of all North American packs would now be all meeting here instead of them traveling to different packs. I heard one person saying that there was a big threat of rogues and some had been attacked while traveling.
I groaned inwardly, traveling around the country was suppose to be my silver lining to this whole mate searching. And now, I wouldn't be going anywhere but here until I found my mate.
Rolling my eyes, I finished my breakfast and headed outside to wait for Levi. I got about 5 steps outside the door and felt someone following me. I kept walking, pretending I didn't notice, til the person got close enough I spun around and landed a swift kick to their knee. Watching them hunch over was my prize when I looked down.
"Dammit, what the hell?" I heard the same voice from last night coming from this man. What did he expect following me outside with not so much as a hello to me, especially after last night.
"Why were you following me?" I gritted out between clenched teeth. "I just wanted to apologize for entering your personal space last night, I did so with good intentions," he said standing up straight, me refusing to meet his eyes. Making eye contact was how you knew if someone was your mate or not, creating an immediate imprinting when you did, and right now, I didn't want to know if he was mine, because if he was, I would probably kill him. I chuckled to myself at this thought.
"You're good, let's just not make a habit of this, don't want your pack to know you keep getting beat up by a girl," I could his his low growl, his wolf offended by my words.
"You didn't have to be so mean to him you know." My wolf Isla decided to finally make an appearance today!
"Yes I did, he's cocky and rude," I retorted back to her in my head. She was the complete opposite of me, while I'm rough with a smart mouth, she's dainty and quiet. But she is the most beautiful pure white wolf I've ever seen, really she's the only one I've ever seen. White is rare, pure white is almost none existent.
"what if he's your mate? We don't want to be rejected because your rude." she whined in my head. I know she wants her mate more than anything, but she has to at least hope that we have a decent one, not a childish one.
I inwardly rolled my eyes, looking back at the now unsure looking Alpha in front of me. "Did you need something else?" I asked, trying to make sure I had an annoyed tone when I said it.
"Pack meeting at 5, guests are expected to come," he humphed out and walked away, clearly having a bruised ego now. All Alphas had egos bigger than brains.
