Extra Chapter 4 – Something Wrong

“Are you okay?” I looked at Corin and smiled. We were having breakfast and he had asked me that about five times since we woke up.
“Are you okay?” I replied making him frown at me, and I almost rolled my eyes back at him, “I’m fine, Corin.” He sighed, which was surprising because he never did that, as he looked across the table. I followed his eyes to the other plate that was set up, it was clean, the silver around it untouched. It was set up for Corin’s mother and always was but she never ate with us or even came out of her room most days. I had not seen her in a while, when I did see her, she refused to even look my way.
