Zella was in her own barracks because they did not have space for a she-wolf in the normal barracks without getting the warriors mates all riled up. This was not different than her last pack, except they didn't actually have a female barracks. So she had a tiny house off to the side of the normal barracks. Zella had been accustomed to being on her own and didn't mind the solitude. She was, however, here on a mission. Her Alpha has tasked her with getting to the Alpha of this pack so she could lure him away, and he could kill this weak child Alpha. Her Alpha, Alpha Scott, said he wouldn't punish her anymore if she did this. She didn't really remember her last punishment, it was a little blurry in her mind and when she tried to think about it, she got a headache. She also couldn't remember much about her life prior to her meeting Alpha Scott and pledging herself to him. Each time, she got a headache and decided it wasn't worth it. She wouldn't let him down. She was faithful and loyal, and her Alpha was going to be King Alpha Scott one day. She just had to find out how to get close to this child Alpha.
About an hour after she got settled and ready for dinner in the main barracks, she received a letter from the pack house that she was to join the pack house for dinner as a new pack member tradition. She would have rather had more time to think of a plan of attack for the baby Alpha, but she didn't want to be detected for spying. She got changed into the gown provided. That was another thing that irritated her. She was a warrior, she didn't need gowns, she needed leather. This would be fixed after tonight, even if she had to go steal the clothing from the male barracks. Maybe she could use this to her advantage tonight. If she saw the baby Alpha, she could see if she might get him sweet on her. He didn't have a mating mark. so maybe she could get close to him as a love entanglement. She couldn't remember if she had ever had a love entanglement herself. Just that she loved her Alpha Scott and would do anything for him.
Zella got dressed in the modest but flattering blue dress that complimented her eyes and made her way to the pack house for dinner. She wore her hair half up and half down to appear alluring. She got a flutter in her belly at hopefully seeing the baby Alpha again. She didn't really understand that because she was just excited to try to lure him in for her Alpha, but she went with it.
When she arrived for dinner, it was not quite what she expected. There was joy and music and smiling welcome and laughter. It wasn't like any place she had been. She felt like she was home. That thought immediately was rejected by her internal self. Her home was with her Alpha. Alpha Scott. She fixed her face to be in a more neutral state and walked towards one of the open seats in the middle of the room. She was told as she walked in where she could sit. She decided to be dead center so that the Alpha's chair faced her table. Maybe she could lure him in with her eyes. Her Alpha said they were another weapon she might need to use.
Dinner was served buffet style along the right side of the banquet hall, and everyone lined up as they were called out from table numbers. She was sitting next to an older lady named Hatti. The lady was nice enough but kept trying to touch her. Zella was having a hard time keeping this lady's hands off her. When it was their turn to line up, Zella was first in line behind the previous table. Instead of there being another pack member, she bumped into the baby Alpha.
"Alpha Alexander," she bowed to him, " I am glad to see you. I was glad to see the ivnite here and also glad to be running into you. They seem to have forgotten that while I am a she-wolf, warriors need leathers, not dresses."
Alpha Alexander smiled at her with his eyes. He thought she was the most beautiful she-wolf he had ever laid eyes on. She was tough and spit fire and all the things he would have been looking for in a mate. The Moon Goddess had paired them right. He ignored her statement and began making his plate of food. Choosing to wait for the witch,Hatti, to give him more information before he gave more away. His arousal was already pushing at his jeans and making him crazy.
Zella watched him turn around and was so puzzled. He didn't even respond. Maybe she needed to change tactics. the warrior angle wasn't going to get him hot for her? Let's try seductive.
Zella waited for the line to move and then right as he was about to leave the line, she stepped in from of him and bend over to "pick up" her napkin. All wolves could not ignore a she-wolf's back turned to them with their a** in the air. It was basically an invitation to f**k. She stood up quickly and before she could turn, he grabbed her waist and pulled it flush against his bulging jeans. He didnt speak, she didn't move, he just held her there. His power was pushing against her skin and it was making her hot. How did he turn the tables on her? This baby Alpha making her hot? She needed to snap out of it. She broke away and walked silently to her table.
Alpha Alexander smiled to himself. He one the first encounter at the training rink, and now this second encounter with her now. She was intriguing. Never had he met a warrior woman and one who dared to show him her backside in such a public setting. Due to his status, everyone acted as if it didn't happen. But they all saw. Now she would be looked at with envy from the unmated she-wolves and maybe some grudging respect from the males in the warrior parts of the pack for unashamedly seeking out what she wanted.
Alpha Alexander met with Hatti between the courses of the meal and she was able to tell him a little about the spell his mate was under.
"It's very powerful. Could only come from a strong witch. It's a devotion spell. Those types can only be broken by true love or by killing the object of that devotion." the witch Hatti said to Alpha Alexander.
"But who placed it? Not the witch, the one she is devoted to." Alpha Alexander asked her.
"I cannot trace it yet. I need some personal items of hers and more time, my Alpha." the witch Hatti said out of respect. She wasn't a wolf, so she didn't have to call him HER Alpha, but he knew she loved him too. As a grandson.
"How long" he asked.
"By tomorrow night, I should be able to trace it. Until then, see if you two can spark a love interest. That could brake the spell too." said the witch.
Alpha Alexander thought about how to seduce her and make her see how she was meant for him. He decided to start in the sparring rink. After all, you don't become a warrior without a love of the fight.
