I gave Damien a tour of the new office. He joked that he was starting to feel threatened. Halcyon Biosciences, the company we'd built together, was the child I'd abandoned. And here I was, showing off the new baby.

Halcyon was the company we'd started my sophomore year of college. I walked away when I became Luna. Sold Damien my entire stake for next to nothing, a price so low he still felt like he owed me. These days Halcyon did fine without me. And Dawn & Earth, my company with Victoria, was doing even better.
