Episode 4: The Descent into Horror

459 Words
As the days passed, the strange occurrences around the house intensified. Doors would slam shut on their own, and I would hear whispers in the dead of night. The baby's behavior became more and more erratic, and I could sense that he was not like other babies. One night, as I was walking past the baby's room, I heard a faint whispering. It was a soft, raspy voice that seemed to be coming from the baby's direction. I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. What was going on? Was the baby somehow communicating with me? I tried to tell myself it was just my imagination, but deep down, I knew that something was terribly wrong. The baby seemed to be growing stronger by the day, and I could sense that he was not of this world. As I stood there, frozen with fear, I heard the whispering again. This time, it was louder, more urgent. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized that the baby was trying to tell me something. But what? Suddenly, I remembered the conversation I had with my aunt before she gave birth. She had told me that she had been having strange dreams, dreams that felt more real than her waking life. She had described the dreams as being filled with darkness and shadowy figures. I realized that my aunt's dreams were connected to the baby's strange behavior. The baby was somehow influencing her dreams, and now that he was born, he was exerting his influence over the physical world. I knew that I had to do something, but I didn't know what. I felt helpless, trapped in a living nightmare. The baby's whispering grew louder, more urgent, and I knew that I had to get out of there, fast. I turned to run, but as I did, I heard the baby's voice again. This time, it was loud, clear, and menacing. "Avy," the voice said. "You can't escape me. I will always find you." I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. What did the baby mean? Why was he talking to me like that? I knew that I had to get to the bottom of this mystery, no matter what it took. As I stood there, frozen with fear, I heard footsteps coming from the hallway. It was my uncle, come to check on the baby. I knew that I had to warn him, to tell him about the baby's strange behavior. But as I turned to speak, I saw something that made my blood run cold. The baby was sitting up in his crib, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. He was staring straight at me, and I knew that I was in grave danger.
