RAIDON
The next day, I texted Leah to meet me at the coffee shop. I was lucky that I didn't get hungover last night or else Xavier would kick my ass today.
I waited for Leah outside the coffee shop and when I spotted her, I was slightly surprised. She was wearing a sundress with a pair of stockings, huge puffy jacket and she was wearing makeup a little heavier than last night.
"Hey, Rai!" She waved at me and I offered my arm to her.
She linked her arm to mine and we both entered the coffee shop. I looked for Khi and when I spotted her, our eyes met. Her adorable doe eyes widened slowly and immediately, she turned around.
I led Leah to a seat where we could catch Khi's line of vision. She sat down beside me and kept her arm linked on mine.
Damn. She smells good yesterday. Why does her perfume smell so... nauseating today?
"I'll go order some drinks for us. Wait for me, alright?" I said to Leah and she just nodded.
I walked up to the counter and Michie raised a brow at me.
"New girl again, lover boy?" She asked.
"Yeah. Just broke up with Tasha yesterday. I wanted a breathe of fresh air." I chuckled and Michie rolled her eyes.
I recited our orders and Michie repeated it for me. I paid her and dropped a huge tip on their tip box. I waited for our order on the counter and watched Khi move about.
"So you became an expert in making coffee now?" I asked.
Khi still has her back turned on me and she just hummed in response.
"What? No 'hi' or 'hello' for me, beautiful?" I started to believe that maybe I did went too far by bringing a girl with me today.
Moments later, she turned to me and she smiled, "Here's your order, sir."
That's all she said and went back to work. I blinked at her and I heard Michie snort, holding in her laughter.
"Looks like someone's turned off." She teased and I huffed. I took our order and went back to the table with Leah.
During my time with Leah, all I did was watch Khi work without even sparing me a glance. I didn't even understand what Leah was saying.
When we finished our coffee, I told Leah that maybe things between us wouldn't work so I immediately cut ties with her.
"You know? I really thought you were nice, but it turns out, you're just a player." Leah said.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I only play with girls I know whose hobby is to f**k around wealthy or handsome men." I said coldly and left. I got in my car and sighed.
I think I f****d up big time today.

When I arrived at the office, the usual women greeted me, but I ignored them. Xavier was already behind me when I entered my office and I sighed.
"What happened?" He asked.
I took off my coat and huffed, "Khi ignored me today. I brought Leah with me to the coffee shop and Khi ignored me."
Xavier laughed and I threw a pen at him. He dodged it and kept laughing.
"What the hell are you laughing about?" I glared at him.
"Oh gosh. Finally. A woman that doesn't care about your subtle flirting." He wiped his eye and he finally stopped laughing.
"I'm working towards being friends with her, Xavier. I don't want to get into her pants just like that." I clicked my tongue and sat on my seat.
"Yeah, right. If you say so." He chuckled and I threw another pen at him.
"Stop throwing your pens at me, sir." Xavier picked up the pens and handed me a stack of papers.
"Anyway, anything you need to report to me?" I asked, flipping through the papers on my desk.
"Nothing much. Everything seems to be peaceful today, but I think there's one project you need to review again. The budget stated was slightly questionable." Xavier said.
"I'll check that later. If there's nothing else, you can go." I said and opened my laptop.
I began my work, but I couldn't stop thinking about Khi and how cold she was towards me earlier. I pouted as I typed away. I sighed and finally caved.
Me: Khi!!!! Why are you ignoring me earlier? :
I waited for her to reply. Seconds, minutes, hours passed and she has not replied to me even once. She didn't even read my message.
I sighed for the nth time today and just continued my work. I decided to go visit her later after work and apologize.
Just as lunch time rolled over, I heard people talking about my breakup with Tasha.
It's probably all over the news by now.
That's when I heard someone watching Tasha's interview today.
Interviewer: So... Mr. Raidon broke up with you last night?
Tasha: Yes. I... I'm so brokenhearted today that I asked my producer to cancel my project. It was an important project, too.
Interviewer: What is your plan now, Miss Tasha?
Tasha: I will continue my projects and make sure he regrets leaving me.
She's being a little b***h again. This girl honestly.
I ignored it and everyone's obvious whispering behind my back and just got back to work.

When I got to the coffee shop for the second time today, I saw Khi talking with a guy outside, slightly hidden away from public eye.
I watched from afar how Khi slapped the guy's hand away when he tried to reach for her. My eyes widened and decided to eavesdrop a little, hiding behind a wall.
"Baby. Please. Believe me. I... I didn't do anything with Joelle. I never will." The guy pleaded.
"No. Jase. The f**k?! What do you mean by that, huh? It was so obvious that you and her were f*****g and you have the audacity to lie to me? Do you think I'm stupid?" Khi said angrily.
Shit. She sounds hot when she's mad. No. Wait. That's not right.
"Just... enough. I'm done. I'm done with you. Don't bother me ever again." Khi said and I saw her walk past me and back inside the shop.
I waited for a few minutes before entering the shop. I looked at Khi and her eyebrows were knitted together and her cheeks were bright red. I walked towards the counter and sat on the stool.
I swallowed thickly, "Uhm... Khi?"
"What?" She looked at me, angry, face red and her ears were also red.
I flinched slightly and her expression immediately softened when she saw me. She shook her head and took a deep breath.
"Sorry. Uhm... What can I get you?" She asked, voice soft and hushed.
"Your usual coffee, please." I said in a soft tone.
She just nodded and turned to make my drink. Michie walked up to me and shook her head.
"She met her ex and... well... it got her in a bad mood. Turns out, the guy was grabbing coffee for him and his coworker aka 'his ex'." Michie whispered.
"Oh. That's... That's... got to be painful." I pretended I didn't know what she was talking about since I just saw those people at the grocery store the other day.
"I know. That's why, you, Mr. Lover Boy, stop that womanizer spirit within you. It doesn't make you a man." Michie said and walked away.
I blinked and a few moments later, Khi served my coffee. I smiled at her and gathered my courage to ask her.
"Are you ignoring me?"
"No. Why would I be?"
She's so cold!
"You're being so cold to me. This morning, you didn't even greet me." I pouted.
"Maybe if you didn't bring a woman today, I would have greeted you." She said, faked a smile then left.
My eyes widened and realization hit me.
Fuck. She was jealous.
